I have been trying to setup Rekordbox DJ in HID mode with 2 CDJ2000nxs and a DJM2000nxs. I have followed all of the instructions in the video below.

But when I get to the part of the video at 2.06 in the preferences window, it won't let me set up the input decks, even when I open the setting utility. It's really frustrating - can anyone give me a total idiots guide on how to set up Rekordbox DJ in HID mode, plus how to set up the inputs and what may be stopping me from setting up the inputs?

I am using Rekordbox 4.3.1 on a macbook pro running osx 10.9.5.
If you're just using it in HID mode, you don't need to configure the inputs; that would only be necessary for DVS mode. All you need to do is configure the OUTPUTS, and I recommend those going to the mixer's channels.

For some reason I couldn't set up any ins or outs, it wouldn't let me. Is there a step by guide simple guide anywhere that I can follow to try and solve this issue?

With the drivers installed, you would configure the outputs of the DJM-2000 within the preferences of rekordbox; make sure it's set to external mixer mode.
