Playlists in rekordbox, only content folder on CDJ 2000 Nexus

Hi,

I experienced this problem a couple of times now but sometimes when I plug in my USB to a CDJ 2000 Nexus, it only shows me the "content" folder and I have no idea how to see my playlists. I can see all the playlists in the PC and at other times the Nexus does recognise the playlists.

It seems arbitrary.

I am using a Corsair Survivor 32GB USB stick and a Windows 10 PC with the latest Rekordbox version.

Fortunately I always carry a back-up USB, but what if this happens to both USBs and I will be at a gig or festival?

Is there any way to fix this?

Deep Filip

This happens sometimes, the frequency may relate to the quality of the USB stick. I never had this problem with my Supertalent Pico sticks except for in a few XDJ-RX units.

Restarting the deck usually fixes the problem, if you carry a backup you can always swing it even in a live situation :)

The USB stick is the most likely culprit here.  When selecting a USB device, be sure to purchase the one with the fastest read/write speed that you can afford.  Remember, speed > size.

Thanks for the reply.

I have quite an expensive USB stick from a brand that is considered to be a good brand http://www.corsair.com/en-us/flash-survivor-stealth-usb-3-0-32gb-usb-flash-drive

For $35,- I would have expected the USB stick to be good enough.

@Pioneer employees: could you recommend good USB sticks that do not have this problem ever? I am sure more DJs would benefit from this knowledge.

There are know issues with Corsair drives.  We are in the process of creating a comprehensive list of recommended drives and drives to avoid.

Thanks for that Mark. By the way I am experiencing issues with login and re-directs. Sometimes it appears I am logged in but then I need to login again before I can post a comment and it doesn't always work well. Who should I contact for you guys to fix this?

Hi Mark,

Has this list been made yet? I am looking to purchase a reliable USB and I would like to do so based on your recommendation.

I have had exactly the same problem, I bought x2 corsair survivor 32gb usb sticks and they were and still are brilliant, but I bought a third one and this one appears to either not load on the cdj or takes ages which I cant be having as I play out regularly. I looked into it and the first two USB I bought showed they were made in Taiwan on the little metal piece and the third was made in china so they must use a differet chip or something in the Chinese one (I bought the third from a proper seller). Anyway I have noticed a lot of people saying the Sandisk Extreme 32gb is the best but it seems to be they stopped making them, now there is a new version, the Sandisk extreme go?. I would just really like to know the answer to this original post as I don't want to waste money on usbs that will fail. Im happy to pay the price for something decent so pioneer please let know what is the best USB stick to use for your cdjs. Thanks Dennis
