white noise out of booth out, DJM 2000

So I've been using the DJM 2000 since it came out.

I've always used XLR cables for my KRK rokit 6 monitors.

I read a article a few weeks go that optimizing the maximum level of the output of hte mixer i could try using the booth instead to maximize the levels of hte master out, while being able to control the monitors volume.

I only have TRS- to - RCA cables for now until i find a TRS- TRS cable. This is a Vestax brand cable from japan.

After this type of connection happened, I instantly noticed a strong white noise sound from BOTH booth-out connected monitors.

I'm wonderign if theres a known fix, or issue for this. This could be my cable issue, or a not clean booth out section. Any suggestions?

@SH > Are you talking about a mild hiss or serious whitenoise (like the kind you can generate on the mixer)?  The booth-out shouldn't hiss but will have a slightly "noisier" output than the master simply by virtue of a lower quality digital-audio converter used for the booth output.

I've located the problem.

It was a faulty and "very" long cable line (i think almost 20 feet line) which i think caused some noise hiss.

So what i did was got a hand made TRS cable here in china. got two made for only 7 bucks, Somethings are good and cheap in china. And the guy who made it was very profesional at his work. the cables are very well insulated, and have real nice crisp and punch to all my sounds as well.

@SH > Using an unbalanced / unshielded line (like that TRS > RCA) would act as an antenna, picking up environmental noise and electromagnetic signals resulting in hiss.  Glad to hear it was resolved with a proper cable!
