Is there a rotary kit feature soon to be designed for either DJM-900 or DJM-2000. You see I have the DJM-800 with rotary kit, but I want to update my mixer. However I have seen that all mixers do not come with that feauture. I own a pair of CDJ-2000 and the only way I will fully get to enjoy the feautures is with the new mixers. However I refuse to mix with sliders, the rotary option gives me full control of my tracks when I blend. Thank You and I hope to hear from you soon. I'm Posting a pic from a friend in Australia that designed something like this. I believe you should designed 2 ways of making Mixers. One for sliders and one factory made rotary kit, to prevent all the fuse blowing that the DJM-800 has has when installing a rotary kit. Unfortunatly not everybody knows how to set up the kit. And they break it. Once again thank you for your time.

This is the mix I recorded, using an 800 W/Rotary Knobs. This is precission only knobs can offer this much fadding in and out. I hope you guys understand a little my DILEMA with the new MIXERS.

Probably because you are logged into facebook and have permissions to the image. If it isn't public, then we won't be able to see it.
You can always use something like Photobucket, imageshack, or flickr to share photos. Much easier for people who aren't your friends on FB.

Well you can get the same knob as the frequency effect knobs. They fit just fine over the the inst FX pots. there a little bigger and still able to see the markings.
Isnt the rotary knobs on the kit is bigger than the frequency ones ? Can you try them on the frequency knob's place also for me ?
as far as I remember the volume rotaries will not work on the efx rotary due to the cut inside, the fit over the post differently.
The decision to drop the rotary options was clearly made by suits who didn't actually study their MicroEcon and Ops Management. Their MBAs aren't worth the paper their printed on.
Or it was made by accountants who said, "Hmm, this doesn't quite add up..."?
That kind of decision is more likely done by MBA suits, though, who are erroneously misattributing lost profits to an item that is not making as much as competing items in a factory. Accountants tend to be far more thorough and would also add side-notes or tell you the limits of their conclusions. MBAs have a tendency to overstate their conclusions that are more likely to be wrong to begin with, anyway. MBA suits who "excel" are often just ones who were bold and got lucky and it has little to do with actual skill or talent.
There are ways of figuring the numbers that will produce completely incorrect conclusions even with the right inputs. Relevant numerical inputs are also important -- i.e. clearly even if they did a proper quantitative analysis, BriChi has just proven how low the costs would be. And that's not even getting into the qualitative aspects through perceived improved customer service, customer communication, and customization... things you can't quantify. An accountant, due to general professional practices, is more accustomed to specifying the limits of their numbers so they are not over-interpreted.
Even if a cruncher produced the figures, my bet is an MBA upstairs misinterpreted and/or read too much into them. And certainly no one who had anything to do with such a decision actually cares about the customer, Pioneer DJ’s image, or this field to begin with. But that’s getting into the age-old issue of knowing the industry you work in and giving a rip about it. That’s far more important than the accounting. Numbers should never be the key driver of any company decisions. Innovation, customer communication, quality… those are key. Otherwise you become interchangeable and commoditized and your profit margins & customer base will start shrinking.

I know I'm reviving an old thread here, but I can say I now have the solution to this rotary problem. I have come up with a complete drop-in kit (much like the pioneer version) that requires nothing more than a screwdriver. It even uses the same plastic connectors for the wiring. They are powder coated and laser etched to match the original as close as possible. I'm selling them for $200 each, or in white for the limited editions, $250.00. You can pm me for info.
