Oh, since the nexus has the same firmware as the mk1, why did you guys start selling them if there's issues?
So as far as I know they are not officially sold yet.. but I guess that is incorrect.

This guy already has one

I've just spoken with the development team and they wish to apologise for the delay. While a late November announcement had been anticipated, a revised date for next week has been set.
So the brand new DJM 2000 Nexus has a bug. This is unheard of
I am disapointed like so many others but this could have been a whole lot worse if the bug was realised later by us, the users ! The statement from gavin is straight , no messin we all know the score, that I do appreciate Pioneer. Is the firmware bug present in the new nexus or just the update for the mk 1 or will it delay the rollout of the Nexus mixer out of interest.
@Marsano > No, it doesn't. Who said that?
I think Theone has quoted your post from the cdj 2000 nexus thread.
@Mark Mills > There is no bug - this is purely logistics. Please don't get confused with what @TheOne said above - that was in relation to the CDj2000nexus only.
Thank you gavin for the heads-up!!! I like this way of communicating!!!
You gave us a date , and now you give us a new date because there are troubles.
It shows that pioneer is being honest against there customers...
say to the engineers that they are doing a good job. They found a possible "bug" before the release...It spares the end users from troubles and frustrations ;)
That's cool, that's good news, next week I can live with but you can see how things spiral away from the real issue with ambig'uous posts ,your job is not an easy one.
Quote from Gavin.....There is no bug - this is purely logistics. Please don't get confused with what @TheOne said above - that was in relation to the CDj2000nexus only.
If there's no bug, then why do we have to wait an additional week???
sorry for the confusion!!!!
We have to wait because there is a reason to wait ....
please everyone , stop asking. the firmware update will arrive soon ... be pleased with that!
Sure .. we will wait another week. . Great -_-
@jack i would be glad in your place, since the firmware could also bring up new problems.
I prefer a stable bug free firmware, than a fast rushed one
@Gavin: ??
I asked a legitimate question put of curiosity and my intention was not to start a riot. I also want to point out that those who are happy with the way things have gone, your posting to others oh it's ok doesn't make the disappointed customers feel any different. Anyhow at lease communications between Pioneer and us have slightly improved as we are now getting honest responses and estimated arrival times and for that reason I have no I issue waiting a week after waiting almost a year and a half.
Gavin the ?? Is to u the rest was a general comment. On the iPad you can't jump lines here for some reason
That's a sweet video, i watched it yesterday. Too bad the beat slicer isn't available without a cdj2000 nexus, looks like a cool feature.
Nice Video from Rob Anderson - come on Pioneer, give us djm2000 owners our firmware update...............................
I want to play with the beat slicer!!!!
Only avaible with cdj 2000 nexus....
Thats bad....
maybe i did not pay enough attention, but it seemed it told that any play with pro link can make use of the beat slicer
It even says on pioneers DJ website the beat slicer is available on connected players *2 cdj2000nexus cdj2000 cdj900. WTF!!!!!
if its only available on nexus this is the shittiest news since the 2.0 fw bugs were found, i'll be well gutted..... this is turning into an emotional rollercoaster man.... i only have one cdj2k and its not a nexus but the next one i buy will be so that means I'll have to wait until i can save for a cdj2k nexus b4 i can enable beat slicer. would be really good if pioneer made an official statement now on what exactly the djm2k mark1 will and will not support and with what players.
does anyone on here ever read all the posts?
as far as i am concerned i read/heard that All Player with PRO LINK are supported!
And the DJM-2000 will get the same features like the DJM-2000nexus
i just watched the video there, i dont recall him saying beat slicer only works with nexus
I agree with Zeus. Let's not speculate guys, lets just wait and see as we don't seem to hear from Pioneer reps.
I read most posts. Here's some quotes.....

But do you need the cdj Nexus to make them all work?

@Pionix > Yes, you will need CDJ2000nexus to avail of some of the newer features.

Thats what I currently understand but I have sought further clarification.
Well Master Tempo will be the feature which would need the nexus i expect

However this answer is still as clear as mud and doesn't say either way.
watching the video he stopped the player after the sample was played into the mixer and recorded so i dont see why it would need the player if it can take the waveform from rekordbox.
The mixer is already capable of sampling the music so i dont see why a nexus player would be needed..
