Recording with Djm 800 & External soundcard

I want to record a live mix using my djm 800, saffire pro 6 external soundcard, cdj 2000s and a pair of krk rokit 6, however for the past two hours, like a complete noob, i haven't been able to record into audacity because my wiring/connection is wrong.

Firstly am I ment to connect my krk rockit 6 speakers via TSR Balanced into the TSR outputs of my soundcard or should they go into the booth TSR outputs of my djm 800 mixer or would it be better to connect my speakers using an rca to tsr unbalanced cable?

Secondly my soundcard has two xlr inputs, so would i have to buy an xlr to rca adapter to plug it into the record out of my djm 800 mixer to record?

Any help on how to set it all up so i can record is appreciated. Thank you

David Helal

I would connect the speakers to the booth outputs so you have independent monitoring levels regardless of what's being recorded.  The only reason you might want to have them connected to the soundcard's output would be to monitor a recording after the fact.
