[SOLVED] Fader start on DJM-2000 doesn't work with (2) CDJ-2000NXS via wifi

I think they all need to be plugged into the same wifi router? Not 2 separate routers.

Players to mixer direct or ALL devices wired directly together  to a hub..

Thanks for the replies. Maybe I wasn't clear. I use one router (Apple Airport wifi) that has 4 ports.  I plug all three devices into the Apple Wireless router/hub (2 CDJ's and the DJM mixer)...  Nothing is going into the 4th port for what that's worth.  Yet, the mixer will still not perform the Fader Start feature when sliding the cross-fader back and forth.  If the two CDJ's are plugged into the mixer, this feature works just fine...  I've got the latest firmware on my Apple hub so I'm thinking this is a bug.

I use a DJM900 but I'm almost certain with the DJM2000 you're not supposed to plug all devices into the router. Rather, connect Computer 1 to the router, and the CDJs to the appropriate player numbers on the built-in hub on the DJM2000.

looked in the manuals and it really doesn't say?? Just shows everything going into the djm 2000. And I don't use wifi. Not really sure why you would want to? I like the comfort of having things plugged in with a hard line.

@Fox thank you brother! That's exactly what I needed. Why they omitted that info from the Nexus manual is beyond me. Whatever the case, now I can export my songs wirelessly from my phone. I imagine the fader feature should work now but if it doesn't then ill be back with another post :). Thanks everyone who took the time to chime in.

No problem J - FWIW I've actually had great results with the wireless connection both to iOS for performances and rekordbox on my Mac for prep work. I'd encourage anyone having issues with link, exports, crashes, etc to give it a shot...I'm totally speculating here but perhaps this connection got a bit more attention from Pio during beta since it was the first time they were rolling out wireless. I realize iOS isn't an option for some due to memory limitations, but I rarely carry more than 500 tracks or so with me for any given show. Big fan of fader start as well - definitely couldn't live without it!

Glad you got it, I have only had it work when it was connected by a hard line to the mixer, so the wireless route I have not run yet.  Also glad to hear you guys like the fader start, I thought it was a dead feature for the most part...

Interesting jay, i thought it was just me - i'm surprised by the number of ppl who run the 900/2000 and don't even know the feature exists! Anything that gives me the ability to make 2 or more moves one-handed is a plus in my book! Saves me from a lot of awkward poses too...
