[CLOSED] Having an issue with DJM-909 crossfader settings

New to DJM-909 and I am trying to figure out the correct crossfader dial locations to make my song mix when the fader is centrally located. When listening to channel 1 or 2, moving the crossfader 1 1/2 spaces to the left/right lets opposing channel's music come in at the same volume when the fader is centrally located. What am I doing wrong? Isnt there some way to make each side slowly build up to a central point?
