[SOLVED] DJM-T1 weird hot cue problem

Hi there

My recently bought T1 is doing this:

Storing/cueing hot cue 4 on Deck A also stores/cues hotcue 2 on Deck B (and not the other way around). I have the latest firmware, driver and Traktor mapping. I checked the mappings (both of them) and there are not conflicts between the two functions visible and the settings are correct for both cues.

I read another post with someone else on this forum with a similar problem (but different hotcue numbers in their case). Suggestion was to update firmware/driver/traktor map but I see no follow up response.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Jon Glover

Anybody?

In addition to the exact problem above, the Deck A 'Active' button also stores / activates hot cue 4 on Deck B! I cant use these two buttons on Deck A without it instant mucking up the track playing on deck b.

I've tried reloading version 3 firmware onto the unit. I've tried clearing my mapping in Traktor for the DJM and then trying the basic Traktor pre-installed mapping for the mixer and re-loaded Pioneer's TSI mapping file. In every state the mixer is doing this! It must be the mixer putting out the same midi data on these related buttons. Firmware issue? Firmware fix?

I'll have to send this unit back if I cant solve it.

I've solved the problem myself after much perseverance. Changed the midi channel from 1 to 2 in the DJM settings app. Can't think of what might have been conflicting with it on channel 1

@Jon > Thanks for getting back to us and letting us know you got it sorted. I've been waiting to get a T1 to test these issues.

Hi there,

Sadly even using the mixer set to midi channel 2 it has suddenly making a cue point on deck b affect a cue point on deck a this time. Was fine to begin with then suddenly started doing it in the middle of a mix, live at a gig last weekend! At then again at home the next night. Changing to channel 3 fixed it again but for how long?? It's the only midi device connected. I just can't trust it, especially when using it to play to a crowd! What do I do?

By the way, I even tried loading older version 2 firmware before, no dice. But then changing the midi channel to 2 (temporarily) fixed it.

Any idea what could be happening that means the choice of midi channel is the answer is time? Should I send it back to pioneer for repair/replacement? Has this happening with other T1s or other mixers? Are you aware of it? Only seen one other person on this forum with this problem (with this mixer)

Could I have a swifter reply this time, please.
