which case you have, most of them have thick foam underneath, I always cut away most of the foam under the equipment except for what you need to support the players and mixer.
Cisco makes a really thin 5 port
Whats up everyone. I am basically looking for a router or a switch that can fit in my coffin. I have a standard large format cdj coffin. The DJM 900 is already a very tight fit (not much room for wire connections) but I have seen online others have managed to fit a router in the coffin. Does anyone have a similar setup or can recommend a router?

I have this coffin,

same a friend of mine has that I wired up for him, All the carpet under the player can be cut, all there is is foam underneath so cut a way what you don't really need under the players and mixer and route all the wires and switch afterwards. If I can find pics from back when I did it I will post them
this pic I attached is not your exact case but you get the point, I gutted the case and put foam support only where I needed them at the foot of the decks and mixer, it frees up sooooo much room for wiring, air flow and to mount mice, switches, hubs, etc..... under the case to make it look so much more clean behind the decks
I feel weird about gutting out the coffin, but I guess it makes sense. That would create a great amount of space.
I have the same Odyssey coffin - for contingency purposes I kept my router separate from my switch, that way if there's a router malfunction there's no chance of losing my link along with it. I have the 8-port netgear hub (forgot the model # but it's the 8-port version of the standard 5-port Pio recommends) and run a cat5 to an AirPort Express from one of the switch ports. I've had no issues with it and both the netgear and airport express fit beneath the gear without having to modify any of the foam.
@Fox > Probably the GS108.
Yup - that's the one. I went with 8 since with this configuration, the 5 would only leave me with 3 open ports for players.
@Fox mind taking a uploading a pic of your setup
