[SOLVED] 900 Nexus BPM with Serato

How can I get the BPM info from Serato to send to my 900 Nexus? I know it is built into the 900 SRT but I can't scrap the 2K I have into my current setup. Can it be sent via Midi? Since it does on the CDJs I figure it can be done on the mixer as well. Thanks

The feature you speak of is SRT only feature. Min is coming in Tues. am so I will let you know how well it works. If you want one I got mine for $1899.00  with NO TAX & FREE shipping. Authorized Pioneer reseller with full warranty. The price is 2299.00 but the store (online) offers a $400 discount on this as well as new 64.

With the new 900SRT the beat grid info is sent directly from the SDJ software so it SHOULD be spot on. I will know for sure tomorrow though and report back. My 900Nexus is already sitting on the side as we speak though which I agree the auto was never quite right.

My issue is due to the fact I already have the nexus and an SL4 and many events I do have other DJs that use Traktor so getting the SRT is out for me. it just sucks that you can;t send the info via midi. I just need an accurate BPM for the BPM effects. I am looking forward to hearing how does though.

I am guessing you will be able to use the SRT with Traktor just like the Nexus being everything is the same. Serato is the picky software not Traktor. You can use almost anything to control Traktor. I mean if you ave the know how you can get a SERATO ONLY controller to control Traktor, act as the soundcard as well as even supporting DVS with Traktor when it doesn't even do that with Serato.

In my setup I will have the SRT as soundcard for SDJ. The 2000's as sound cards for Traktor (if I ever need it which i RARELY do) and then Rekordbox via the ethernet cables integrating everything (again which I rarely use). I am confident that as long as the SRT works as intended it will eclipse Traktor and Rekordbox and I will no longer have the need to support either. I am holding onto the Nexus until I know ALL OF THIS for sure though specifically the SRT controlling Traktor as I am SOOOOO curious about this. I mean one of the argest contributing factors to Traktor's large DJ base is that it let's you use pretty much any thing with it. (also one of its downfalls as there SHOULD be a minimum spec criteria to reduce compatibility issues).

I will know for sure tomorrow. I will be DJing from the minute the UPS guy comes to until about ....................... the same time two days later LOL.

BTW The DJM-900SRT is amazing. You can run Traktor just like the DJM-900Nexus. As a matter of fact you can run Traktor on one or two channels and Serato DJ on the remaining at the same time on the same laptop making the DJM-900SRT the ONLY mixer you can literaly run ANY of the professional DJ applications on the market today (except SSL which will be done by 2015). The DJM-900SRT slso sound amazing which I didn't expect it to compare to the Rane SL boxes but it does actually.  VERY happy with my purchase.
