DJM 400

Is there any way a DJM 400 could be connected to a PC/Laptop without having to upgrade or spend more money??

To elaborate a bit, there is no sound card in the DJM 400 so there is no point. you can connect it in other ways but I don't think that's what your asking.

What is it you want to achieve from doing so?

The goal was to record an external mix session using Traktor Pro but it seems I will have to upgrade software/hardware to do this.

Yes you are right. You would require an external sound card. you could get one for as cheap as $100 depending on where you are.
