Not really enough detail for anyone to give you a detailed answer, what type of noise? It's probably being picked up from an external source.
XLR outputs are always preferable because they are balanced, and noise picked up is cancelled out.
I've had a DJM 250 since about January 2013. I recently discovered that in the last week, all of my recordings have a VERY nasty noise that is very audible coming through the RCA output (I can't test XLR, because I lack the setup). This is very troubling for me, and it makes me wonder if I should just move back over to a Rane mixer (I had one for years that was never faulty until a soft drink changed it all).
I notice that if I crank my headphone volume WAY up into dangerous levels, I get the same noise....but while recording or playback, the noise comes through without ANYTHING hooked up into it.
Please respond soon, or I'll end up just going back to an American made mixer.
