Sounds like it needs a replacement frequency rotary control, contact your nearest authorised service centre (links on the right).

Djm-700 filter knob problem
I have this problem with 700 mixer. It seems that filter knobs base(?) is a little bit loosened and it has to be lifted so it clicks at 0 position. but the main problem is that it affects on effects. Mostly on echo. When i use echo effect and move the frequency filter knob (filter is turned off) it makes phasing kind of effect. And if you want to use echo you have to position frequency filter knob correctly to a certain position to get normal echo sound. Can anyone help me with this, at least it would be nice to know where the main problem is .

The filter on the 700 master is an adjustable freq knob for all the effects. If it is at 12 o'clock then it is not affecting anything, but turning it in either direction will add or subtract the levels of the effect you are using.
