DJM900-NXS Wont Connext to Windows 8.1

Hello,

I recently bought a new computer Dell Precision T5610, with with Windows 8.1

Prior to this I was using Windows 7 on a computer I had built, and my DJM900 (which at the time was running 1.2 firmware was connecting fine over usb)

Currently, I cannot get Windows to recognise the mixer

DJM Firmware has been udpated to 1.310 no difference

DJM Driver software 1.50

User Account Control (UAC) is disabled in windows. I have reinstalled the drivers numerous times

I've tried to go through device manager and scan for drivers, I've tried to select the driver (which it says its not compatible)

I even have extracted the 1.5 package right clicked on the driver and clicked install.

When I open up the DJM900 utility it says its not connected.

I have tried different usb cables

I tried calling Pioneer who told me to take it to an authorised repairer, or check the FAQ online in Melbourne (Australia)

I know there is nothing wrong with my Mixer or USB cable because it was working fine on my old computer, I just upgraded my computer I cant afford to throw it out. The Rekordbox link functions work fine, I'm able to update the firm ware on etc.

Also should add the light next to the USB port on the mixer doesnt flash.

ANY help will appreciated I'm desperate at the moment.

The drivers appear to be installed, but either they're not recognized by the system registry or the DJM isn't communicating with the computer.

My recommendation is to test it with another computer just to be sure it's not the mixer, but it's possible it failed and needs servicing.
