DDJ ERGO - Headphone issues

@Alex > Well THERE'S your problem.  :p

Go out and buy a proper connector for your speakers.  Even if it means getting a RCA-to-female-minijack.

Just double checking, but  HERE are Pulse's videos just in case you watched a different one. Please view the video (again) and double check you have everything set exactly the same in the video. :)

yer iv gone threw the video multiple times, update the firmware and read all comments, but i dont fully understand what denilson means in his second comment..

Hey , i just buy my ergo in past week, i love it, but o just have sound with headphones, i dont get any sound with speakers. Speakers have sound with all the rest but not with ergo. I switch the cables but it still dont work. My configuration are fine, faders etc. Configuration in vdj are with the manual but nogthing. I have windows vista and in sound setup the line with pioneer ddj ergo says "Processing instead of being active". Help please!

@ Pulse, yes i saw , i did everything like the video before i send this mensage, but don't works . Besides i turn on my ergo in another computer (computer of a friend) , and it works. I just dont know what i can do more to put ergo with sound in speakers, i tried almost everything :s 

@Miguel > Are you sure that you installed the drivers BEFORE you connected the ERGO the first time? Do you have the ERGO connected and powered-on before you launch VDJ?  Have you configured VDJ as per the video and the screenshot in this thread?

I have had my controller for 4 months and it's been working fine. Now the headphones have suddenly stopped working. I can hear low level static so they are working but they are just getting the cue. What's up?

HI, just got the ergo-v and I too am having issues with the headphones. MAcBook Pro (and also imac 27'). I wish to run the main output sound from the macbook speakers, but plug the headphones into the ergo to cue tracks with. I have RTFM, have watched the video tute (above) and still no luck.

@Brad > If you want to force the master audio to come out the computer speakers, go to the Advanced mode and set it so the souncdard is configured to send the headphone output to the ERGO and the master output to the built-in soundcard.

Hi Pulse - yeah that's what I've been trying.However - advanced options in VDJ LE only show the 'upgrade' buttons - no other options. Is there more sound options in the full version of VDJ?

AHA. In a moment of clarity I updated to the 20day trial of the full ver. Problem solved with the advanced sound setup in the full ver. Allows to map channels individually and works a treat. FYI for future reference I guess.

Sorry, I have both versions installed here and must have clicked into the Pro version without thinking about it -- I know they've also updated the 7.5 versions to automatically assign the soundcards, forcing you into a non-editable mode so those who were having problems getting the outputs assigned correctly would automatically have it configured when connecting a recognized controller.

I'm also experienceing difficulties with the headphone.

My DDJ ergo is connected to my pc with the usb. The speakers are connected to my computer. The headphone is plugged in to my DDJ ergo. I can't get any sound out of the headphone. When i change the soundcard in configuration in Virtual DJ i won't get any sound because i says he can't find the card of something mighte be wrong connected. Then when i close virtual dj my computer only plays music from youtube of spotify trough my headphone, which is still plugged in to my ergo. What to do?

i've tried a couple of thing and I have the same problem too... either music comes out the speakers or through my headphone. But i just can't seem to figure out how i can listen through the headphones and listen through my speakers as well...

I have 7.0.5b. LE software, have no clue anymore what cable goes where :p I thought:

Speakers connected to pc, DDJ controller usb in pc, headphone jacked in DDJ controller... now what...

attached is a screenshot of audio setup...

Yves and Noud - if you haven;t tried to sort it out with the 20day trial full version this is what I needed to get mine working in the way you are trying. (phones in Ergo, main sound from computer). Worked first go with the full version, couldnt get it to work at all in the LE ver.

i've switched to the trial version already because i was thinking it could be the config... but no luck... i'll keep on looking for a solution.

Could pioneer please help us? I've tried it all. But now sound only comes from the headphone (which is plugged in to my ergo) and no sound comes from my speakers (connected directly to my pc). Can someone please help me

I have found a way that worked for me and all I had to do was add a second sound card (+/- 16€). Speakers in one card, headphones in the other. Still not optimal as I can't use it on my mac laptop, guess it'll have to do. Pioneer should look into this product as it has a couple of flaws and for beginners (who might not know a lot about cabeling etc... this becomes a learning process you should not be forced upon...).

@Noud de Grood > You can only have that configuration if you do one of two things...

1) Get the advanced setup for the soundcard available in the Pro version of the software.

2) Send the master output from the ERGO to the line-input on your computer and then have it come out the computer speakers.

I've changed the parameters properly, but it still won't work... I'm starting to feel really annoyed about it

Hey Pulse.. Just wanted to say that I had the same problem as Alex..and never realized that the problem was that I was trying to get the master through the laptop speakers...I went through your setup videos..and all other videos on youtube..but none of these clarify this point.. Luckily I came across this thread..

Would request you to add this point to your video..so that new learners who are not that familiar with the setup find it easy to fix this... Thanks! :)
