@Christian > Did you not load the preset settings for the DDJ-ERGO in Virtual DJ?
You should not have to map anything yourself unless you want to change specific controls with the software.

FolgenDDJ Ergo Inverted Jog in VDJ
Hello. I just bought a new Pioneer DDJ Ergo and I managed to map it to VDJ. I only have a problem (excepting de sensitivity issues) : the jogs work anticlockwise when I want to speed the song and clockwise when I want to slow it down. They work opposite the way the jogs on the CD Players work. What can be done to fix this ?

@Christian > Here is Pulse's videos to follow if you need a hand:

@Foster : thank you for the response. I've followed exactly the directions that Pulse gave in his video, I installed the controller and it works brilliant in VDJ Pro, except the fact that the jogs functionality is inverted : they work the opposite way they should : when I turn them clockwise the music slows down instead of speeding up (just like Pioneer CDJs do and a bunch of other controllers). I had about one year ago another controller from Hercules and it had the exact problem only that controller had a soft in which I could set the clockwise/anticlockwise way of functioning for the jog. I am really frustrated that I have this problem and I don't know how to solve it : I reinstalled everything : Windows 7 Ultimate (together with the latest drivers), Virtual DJ LE that came with Ergo, Ergo's drivers, Virtual DJ Pro. Everything works excepting this problem. I'm kind of sad because I have a gig tomorrow and I cannot fix this by myself
@Christian > I just read online to check your TCV Settings for your decks, there is a check box for Inverting. Also check your keyboard shortcuts as it says you can trigger them for reverse. I'm not exactly sure on these, but it's worth a try for sure.
what is TCV ?
I just realized that everything works ok in the LE Edition of VDJ but in the PRO version the jogs are inverted. Also, in the LE Edition, the sensitivity of the jogs are just perfect but when I turn to PRO it completely messes up. What can I do to have the same thing in the PRO as in the LE ?
@Cristian > Within Pro, go to Settings and under the Options tab you'll have 3 sliders for the jog sensitivity. Tweak them until they match your needs. As for the inversion, I'm not sure, so I'm calling in the expert!
I really hope that you cand give me a solution for the inverted jogs because it is really sad to spend money on hardware and software and be unable to use them to the max
As a licensed user of VirtualDJ Pro, you should not have to personally map the DDJ-ERGO. It is natively supported in the latest version available in your Download Center at the VirtualDJ site. Please login to www.virtualdj.com/forums/ and click the Download Center tab. Download the latest version and simply run the installer. Even if you currently have the latest version (v7.0.5b) downloaded from BEFORE the release of the DDJ-Ergo, you need to download the installer again.
Mi s-a parut tare bizar sa pot controla si personaliza absolut orice dar jogurile sa mearga in sens invers fatza de cum am vazut in filmuletze. Si ceva si mai bizar, in VDJ LE merg jogurile normal. Doar in VDJ Pro fac figuri si merg invers. Daca am o licenta de Virtual DJ, pot descarca toate versiunile noi aparute gratuit ? sau trebuie sa platesc mereu ceva in plus ?
@cstoll : If a have a Virtual DJ license, I can always download for free any new version that appears? don't I have to pay something everytime I download a new version that is released ?
@Cristian > No; provided you have the major version (eg. you'd pay to upgrade 6.x to 7.x but it's free from 7.0 to 7.1).
@Pulse : thank's a lot. I'll download the latest version from their website and tell you if the result positive or negative. Now that you and cstoll mention it, I figured it could be a "problem" for all of the users that don't donwload the latest version from the website or have an unlicensed version as long as the LE version functions normally.
Thanks.
hey christian did u manage to resolve the issue? cuz im having the same problem as well
hey Sunday, i managed to solve the problem. You need a licensed version of Virtual DJ (7.0.5b or later). I now use Traktor Pro 2 and everything is working excellent :d
thnx 4 ur reply christian, i have the pro version. i was having the same problem u were having with the jogwheel "... the jogs work anticlockwise when I want to speed the song and clockwise when I want to slow it down...". i just wanted to find out if u've solved the problem
i solved it. you have to install the drivers first, the ones from the CD or the latest from the official site. then, you must install Virtual DJ LE that came in the box (make sure you don't have any version of Virtual DJ installed on your computer when you install LE) and then install Virtual DJ Pro (7.05b or later) and activate your serial. Everything should work excellent. I use Traktor Pro 2, it isn't necesary for you to validate a serial or do anything online, it's much easier to map the controller to Traktor and it's much more professional, in my opinion. Good luck with your mixes :)
Hey christian i managed to resolve it. i was using numark cue instead of virtual dj full, once i upgraded everything was working fine but thnx for your replies. started enjoying mi mix now, hv u got ne online?
All you do is go into options of VDJ and press "Scrolling" to adjust which way the song moves as you turn the Jog Wheel. The three sliders above this button adjust the Scratch sensitivity for scratching, Cue sensitivity for the stuttering-cue and Pitch-Bend sensitivity to finely adjust the song using the rim of the Jog-Wheel. You can do the Jog-Wheel adjustments on any version of Virtual DJ, (they're lying) don't get sucked into buying the latest version (7.05b) of Virtual DJ when it'll just be the same.
