Increasing Main Volume & Effect On Controller

I own a DDJ-s1 and yesterday i had a party and the speakers werent so loud so i had to increase the main from my controller until everything was pointing to red. Does this effect my controller in anyway? Im afraid this could result in any damage to the hardware of the controller and end up with no sound coming out of the xlrs.

You risk distorting the sound and lowering the quality of the audio, but it won't damage the controller.

The volume of the speakers were changing getting louder then so low i can hear the crowd singing is it from my controller or some sort of problem with the speakers?

Provided you were sending a consistent volume out the master, I would suspect that it would be something outboard of the controller, either an effects processor, amplifier or the speakers.
