A beep sound? How do you have the audio configured? Watch this video and see if you have it all set as I show the Traktor settings, around the 6 minute mark:
Hi, I just got a new ddj ergo and everything works great except the controller makes a beep sound through the speakers everytime I press one of the buttons (cue, sync, FX, etc). The sound only comes out from the speakers, not the headphones nor the recordings. This is still a problem as when playing at i.e. a houseparty, the guests can hear the beeping sound with the music. Can anyone help me with this problem. I think it has to be something with preferences. I use traktor pro 2 on a macbook pro.

Thanks, but yeah everything is exactly the same as on the video. The beep sound seems to just inform that the button has been pressed (no idea why it does that). I've tried checking all my settings but can't figure out how to turn it off. The sound is not effected by the volume changes on the controller either not the deck volume nor the master volume. The beep sound can only be turned down when I turn down the volume on the amplifier but that also means that the volume of the music will be turned down.
Do you happen to have any accessibility settings enabled within the system? I can't think of ANY reason that the controller's MIDI signal would tell the system or software to "beep". Have you ever used any other external controllers (MIDI or otherwise) that might have set something like that?
If I may offer a suggestion ... go to the System Preferences for OSX, open the Sound configuration in the Hardware section and make sure that the Sound Effects option for "Play sound effects through" is set to your Internal Speakers. Select the Output button next to 'Sound Effects' and make sure that the Internal Speakers / Built-in is highlighted.
Thanks a lot! changing the sound effects settings worked!
You are welcome ;)
hey that didn't work, and its very annoying is there any other way of fixing it?
