Just noticed the pad section looks replaceable too.
That's excellent news for the heavy-handed amongst us...
Well done to everyone involved in it's conception. You've even included a Booth Out!
Can't wait for the < [EDIT] No product rumors please > to drop so i can do a direct comparison between Serato and Traktor and FINALLY make up my mind as to what's going to replace my CDJ's...
Thank you Pioneer!

And when comes it for Traktor users ?;)
Dreaming about similar controller for rekordbox...
thinking the same thing, make a RB controller like that with an actual ethernet port for LINK, no wireless crap
wished booth ouputs were rca, no start/stop vinyl adjustment knob, no jog wheel speed adjustment, i wish raised so i can put laptop underneath dock, not really feeling the silver finish wished maybe kept all black, i wonder how this serato dj program will be and hope better than itch. so instead of 5 hot cues on s1 this has 8 right?, finally a stand alone mixer
@Cheeba
Have you seen some info on a possible < [EDIT] No product rumors please > ? Or is that just wishful thinking on your part?
@Cheeba > Glad you like it, and you know better. ;)
@DJ Filthy Flip > If you need RCA, you can use the Master 2, but it won't allow for individual volume control. However, the TRS booth output provides better quality than RCA and is more useful for the common DJ booth.
As far as I know, the Serato DJ will definitely be superior to ITCH. ;)
Yes, there are 8 hot cues on each deck when using Hot Cue Mode.
@Greg Potter > @Cheeba's comment is only based on assumption.
Sorry for the transgression - it was just purely (over-excited) speculation on my part.
Still waiting though... ;-)
Just wanted to confirm a few things.
A) The 8 pads have 4 buttons above them. I take that to mean that there are 4 "pages" to play with resulting in 32 possible midi selections, just on the pads alone. Per side.
B) Will the mixer work as a stand alone mixer if the laptop fails? Meaning you can use another channel for a backup audio source while you reboot?
i wish they kept and made the start/stop adjustment knobs the controller. also separated the adjustment instead of making it one knob. also no speed jog wheel adjustment on controller. maybe those are on the serato dj menu settings. but still i dont want to be going on the lap top and adjusting those and wished were right there on the controller
Is it November 1st yet?
I'm all itchy...
I have got to admit it recently Pioneer have broke the moulds with every new piece of kit that they release. I just need to figure out how to recreate the Great Train Robbery to be able to buy all of them.
And for when the new DDJ-SX finally hits the shops we have cases designed ready to go http://www.swanflight.com/dj-flightcases/dj-controller-flightcases/pioneer-pro-dj/pioneer-ddj-sx-flightcase.html
@foster if you find this link touting for business please remove. I just had an enquiry for someone wanting 2 cases already and thought well the question is going to be raised

Sean it was me who enquired about the two DDJ SX flight cases. Problem is £258 plus £18 delivery is extortionate. Kam can do a similar one for £140. Although quality is no comparable I agree. At the end of the day it's ply wood and some metal fixings. I will need to look elsewhere as I cannot pay anywhere near that. £170 is much more reasonable.
Anyway this is just my opinion. I do wish the other case manufacturers would hurry up and offer us some alternatives as I have two ddj sx units on order that need protecting!!!
I must add I added a laptop shelf and hexi grip to my order.
@ DJ Killa, Hi Yes I agree that £258 is quite expensive. But its not just the standard case you were looking for to be honest. You also wanted the case to hold your radio Mic reciever PSU etc. At the end of the day the standard case would have been somewhere around the £170 mark but you were looking for something totally bespoke for you personally and custom made hand built cases are always going to be more expensive. I didnt realise that Kam had already released a case for this model. I will look at the prices fro you and email you back direct.
