I guess it never occurred to you...this so called reputable dealer that "took" you money...is no longer reputable? Maybe you should try asking for a refund and see how that goes. IJS

DDJ-SX Shipping issues
Pioneer, I just wanted you to know that I ordered 2 of these units form very reputable dealers, both of which you assigned Ingram Micro as their distributor. I have used these dealers for years and they have a very good reputation. I pre-ordered this unit, one from each of them, over 30 days ago and neither dealer were shipped a single unit for sale during this initial rollout. Guitar Center, Sam Ash, PSSL, and the other "big boys" not only had plenty of units shipped to them but even sold them early....with no penalty from Pioneer, of course.
It's a shame that you screw over those customers that are loyal to the mid-size dealers out there in favor of large corporations. And it's a shame that I was told by both of those dealers that it would be at least another 30 days until they MIGHT receive their order. While many customers were able to receive their units, some with $200.00 discounts, early or on-time, many of us have yet to even get a shipping date.
Is this a whine...yep. But it's also a point to Pioneer that it's the smaller and mid-size dealers that preach Pioneer to the masses all day, every day. I'm just not sure it was a smart move to screw them...and your customers over.

When I was shopping for a potential place to pre-order the DDJ-SX, never once the"big boys" (Guitar Center, Sam Ash, PSSL) had any information about the DDJ-SX on their websites nor their stores. Called some of these stores and the workers had no idea what I was talking about. So I ended up pre-ordering from a big reputable music store online. I can't even get a date on when they will get their units in after posting multiple dates on the site (Oct25th, Nov1st). Sorry for the rant but I hope we can get a solid date for the units to reach the vendors. These online vendors people have pre-ordered with has no idea when they will come in and if they have the video vouchers they were supposed to receive. A little frustrating having pre ordered way ahead of people just walks in Nov 1st and gets a unit with the free video voucher and a $200 off coupon.

No money changed hands with either dealer. Reputable dealers do not charge until the item is shipped.

Some people and vendors are saying the real launch date is Nov 12th. On Nov1st they released very limited amount of units for some reason.

You want to live in the uk Justin it's a complete joke, if you are going to mention a release date PIONEER then make sure you have the stock in place for shipment. Seeing this is Pioneers own forum why is there knowone from Pioneer explaining why there as been such delays.This is my first venture into a digital dj controller and truthfully Pioneer you're useless your reputation as gone down in my estimations,at least be fair and treat every retailer and every country the same obviously us awaiting and being told of so called expected shipments are going to miss out on the serato video plug in, so thanks for that, right rant over

I live in the uk as well and pre ordered mines the day it was available for pre order. Sold my other unit with the expectations that my ddj sx would arrive on the scheduled date nov 1st. ( was even willing to wait till nov 3rd ).
Got a call from the dealer i ordered from saying they only received 4 units and the whole of the uk only received 30 units. I didnt receive a unit cause there was people in the pre order queue before me and i got to wait minimum 2 weeks for the next shipment, in which, maybe, i may receive a unit depending on how many units comes in.
Now hearing that in the us theres venders selling the units in store and people can walk in and purchase it, and even getting money off the unit pisses me off cause i pre ordered mines and still waiting.
Its abit of a disrespect and pioneer needs to sort this out ASAP. Hope all the people waiting on their pre orders gets some type of compensation for the wait and disregard received.

There are two stores around where I am from that has the SX ready for purchase. Too bad I pre-ordered mine from a website. The pre- order was completely useless.
