DDJ-SX - Master Volume Placement

You could say that, or you can see that this was done to give you a balanced mirrored layout, with this button right where a balanced layout is supposed to have that volume button.

One thing they could have done differently is change the color of the parameter knob so someone doesn't accidentally turn the volume knob for the parameter knob by mistake.

Although the volume knob is a smaller knob than the parameter knob.

You just got to give it time to get used to it.

Yeah, I get the balanced mirrored layout, they did do a great job at that. But the master volume is a knob that you dont need to touch but a few times a night so I think they could have put it somewhere a little less in the way, and still have just about the same mirrored layout.  And its really just about when I am in the middle of the night flying through tracks, mixing quickly, and I dont want to accidentally grab the master volume instead of the librar scroll knob. Dont get me wrong, I absolutely love my SX, I love it so much that I have converted my club setup from a TTM57 and 1200's  to the SX. 

Maybe ill just tape the master volume knob so if i do accidentaly grab it the tape will save me.

I totally feel you DJ Mike B-Reul.

Im debating totally replacing my Tech MK5 and Scratch Live set altogether now that I have the SX  but not there yet. But, every time i jump on this controller, thats becoming more and more a possibility.
