think its like in 2000's. Two options:
Track paused(stoped)
Track playing and touching the jog in vinyl mode (to stop the track on the fly)

[SOLVED] Needle search works even with track playing on ddj-sz
In video you had to stop track to use needle search as a safety feature that you promoted. not the case. works with track playing. help?

no i got it. they made it a safey feature for needle search and i figured it out. has to actiavte it in settings of controller not serato. its a awesome feature. if you have a sx you know that when using the effects you can hit the needle search on accident and this fixes that . the ddj-sz is amazing.

thought all pioneer devices with needle search has the same feature to use it only with paused track

no they are all active but with new ddj-sz you can lock it during play back so when you are using effects you dont accidently hit it.
