[CLOSED] Can someone take a pic of the inside of a DDJ-SZ fader?

hey guys, i have contacted innofader to see if their new mini will fit the sz, since mine is backordered i wanted to have it when it gets here. they asked for a picture of the inside of the fader to see which mini will work for me. Can anyone unscrew the fader and take a pic inside, he didn't say it needed to be unattached, so don't go crazy! Thanks if anyone has it yet

I would just wait for the mini, IMHO.  We don't have any pic because we can't support 3rd party gear/changes.

What do you mean wait for the mini? The mini innofader comes in two different setups having to do with the way it attaches. They want to see which mini to send me so they asked for a pic.

Sorry dude, answered to quick.  We can't post a picture of the internals.  I would contact Tech Support and ask them for the specifics on the cross fader set-up..

When I get the unit I will be able to see what's in it, so why not now? But that's cool I am hoping a fellow DJ will help me out

@WynnVilla I get it, but because of the rules we can't have the photo up.  It's not about the set up for the cf it's about what other tech things would arise.  I will talking with some Pio people next week on Tuesday and I'll see if I can get you an answer if you don't already have one by then.

BTW...  When Innofader saw the cross fader on the SZ they were impressed, have you already tried it out and that's why you want to change it out...  Wondering

No I haven't tried it out yet, but I have heard it compared to the 900 and I have a 900 and didnt like the fader, mainly cause there is not cut in adjustment like pioneer originally stated. So I am stuck with the 900 and spending more on an innofader. I didn't want to have the same problem, which I am worried I will.

Side question: so no one can post a pic of the fader? What if I am replacing the replaceable fader and don't know which way to put it back in so I am asking for someone to take a pic so I can put it in the correct way, would I still have this problem?

So why is the fader replaceable? You say here is a piece you can take out and then call it taboo to show it? On the 900 you guys said there was a cut in adjustment and there was not so I was forced to buy a new fader. I don't want to get caught with my pant down again. And to say we can't discuss modifying or repairing is a bunch of bull crap. There are pics on how people changed their rotary knobs from faders, there are paint jobs, there are pieces about how to fix firmware and software but you said nothing on those posts?

I think that you guys are not looking at the big pic, of I am a fellow DJ looking to better his equipment by replacing a part that is replaceable. How about you guys contact innofader and discuss which would work directly so they can put it on their website? But I bet you guys wouldn't do that either. It's not good enough I drop 2000 on a controller now I have to be stuck with your fader?

Here is another reason Rane might start getting more of my money.... Can I say that on the forum or are my personal opinions not allowed either?

Pioneer replacement faders are shipped with instructions on their replacement. You are looking to modify your product with an unsupported 3rd party part and as a result, we can not provide details or support for such actions.

Pioneer's engineers and Innofader have communicated before so I'm not sure why they haven't exchanged details on compatibility on this particular model yet, however their non-communication will not provide exemption to photos of product internals or instructions on modification being posted here to the forums, sorry. This is corporate policy.
