DDJ SR Sound cuts then fades back in.

I've been having an issue of late with my 4 month old ddj sr. It worked fine to begin with, but now the sound cuts out for a few seconds around once every 15 minutes, then fades back in. Firmware and software are both latest versions (im using serato). When this happens, the software and hardware both perform as usual and the track fades back in to the place it would have been if it had been playing all along. Its not a level clipping issue.

The problem is the same no matter what set-up I use. I've got a windows 7 PC at home, and have tried on my mate's MacBook set-up (that runs his DDJ SZ without problems). Both set-ups are well within the recommended specs.

Im thinking that this is faulty hardware. Is it a known fault?

I have the exact same problem with the DDJ-SR! Can anyone help? Sound randomly quiet end (without touching the faders) and then becomes loud again after a bit of time. Really frustrating!!

Alright mate,
I made the post above. It turns out its caused by a faulty board inside the unit, that can only be fixed by replacing said board. Pioneer customer service didn't respond to any emails about it. In the end I got a uk service phone number from either the internet or the manual, I cant remember which. The number goes through to an electronics shop. I posted it there and had the board replaced under warranty. It took about six weeks , because the bit had to come from Japan and Pioneer ain't too fussed about sending it quickly. Has been fine ever since though....
