@djleemac > Did you install the drivers? What is the software you're using the SX with?
Hi guys,
I have bought a new DDJ-SX2 controller and I´ve installed it on my Windows 8.1 PRO 64bit operating system.
Everything looks fine, but there is NO SOUND from MASTER output or from HEADPOHONES.
Serato runs good, I can do everything - loops, scratching, load decks etc....LED is running on channel fader, but on master channel is darkness.
When I switch channel into MIC mode sound goes into master and headpohones, but in PC mode nothing.
I connect my DDJ-SX2 to my old notebook with Win7 32bit and there is no problem, everything runs great.
I can´t believe, that DDJ-SX2 cann´t run on Windows 8.1 PRO 64bit.
Please help me
PS: Sorry about my English ;)

@djleemac > Did you install the drivers? What is the software you're using the SX with?
Hello, of course I did
official driver & firmware :: http://pioneerdj.com/support/product.php?lang=en&p=DDJ-SX2&t=332
I using Serato DJ but I tested it with traktor Scatch 2.6 PRO and there were te same problem
I tested both Serato and Traktor....Serato first
When you installed the drivers, did you do that in administrator mode (by right-clicking on the setup file and selecting "Run as Administrator")? And did you do that before you connected the SX2?
Yeap... I think, I know good with computers....this problem is something unearthly :D :D
Can you open your device driver settings and post a screen shot?
I can at evening, but there is all in good....and ASIO driver has no settings, only buffer and 12/24 bit depth....that´s all
Windows has recognized device, all drivers working (that say windows).
Hi, here are the screenshots...I hope, that we'll find a solution ;)
The engineers have asked if you could try the following:
1) From [Apps view], launch [Pioneer] > [DDJ_SX2 ASIO Setting Utility]. When the window of ASIO Setting Utility will be shown, increase the value of [Buffer Size].
2) If the Step 1) did not work, disconnect the SX2 unit from the computer and reinstall the driver.
Which version of Serato DJ are you running?
OK, I´ll try make step 1)
To step 2) - I tried it several times with no effect
I´m runnig Serato DJ 1.7.3
But, I tried SX2 with Traktor Scratch PRO 2.6 - and here is the same problem - no sound from master and headphones
Thank you for your answers guys, I'm desperate :///
Hi guys, that you will not believe it !!!
The big problem was a wireless mouse !!! I have removed the wireless receiver from USB and SX2 IS WORKING NOW !!!
Holy piece of shit.....I still don´t believe, that mouse was the problem...
Thank you for your patience
Wow, that's unusual ... can you send us the make / model of that mouse so I can ask the engineers to test?
Yes, that´s unusual :D
I think, maybe it´s individual due to my PC...I have this mouse :: http://trust.com/en/all-products/19522-yvi-wireless-mouse--red
Again, really weird. Thanks for posting that! I've passed it to the engineers so they can figure it out.
Hi guys...only for info - I have bought new mouse and all works fine :D NO PROBLEMS :D
My new mouse is Microsoft Explorer Touch Mouse with BlueTrack technology
Bye guys and thank you...greetings from Czech republic ;)
Thanks for the update!
Having nothing but issues with serato dj 178 I bought a pioneer ddj sx2 on October 2nd and I been to hell and back even bought a new pc desktop. It works great with rekordbox dj 4,0 1 I don't even want serato is there anyway I can get a activation code for pioneer and give you my code for serato dj which doesn't work anyway
Serato dj is awful. Because u have to unplug all usb devices. Or the sound card won't connect crazy pioneer rekordbox dj 4,0 1 don't do this neither does traktor only serato dj
djeemac et all, I know this post is really old but I wanted to thank djeemac as I HAD almost the exact same problem and couldn't figure it out till I found this thread.
In my case I am running
A
pioneer ddj-sx(1)
on Serato v. 1.9.7
in Window 10 home v. 1703 on a somewhat aged Dell Studio XPS 1645
The mouse is an older MS wireless laser mouse 6000 with the default drivers.
After finding this post I tried a few things:
Connect mixer to Serato while mouse connected, result no sound from master or headphones
Connect mixer to Serato without mouse connected, results were optimal.
Then I connected mouse after the ddj-sx was working properly, result was mouse doesn't work at all but mixer continues to function properly. Good enough for me! I'm gonna try maybe better drivers and if that fails I'll try another mouse. If I don't have a mouse it'll still be good enough for me....
Anyhow, maybe this info helps if this issue is bigger than just me.
