why won't my CDJ900's link??

OK so I just got my 900's all set up, I put a flash drive in one of them but when I press the link button it shows "link' but does not show any files? youtube video's show it being so easy so what am I doing wrong?? and yes I do have the link cable plugged in to each other on the back of the decks.

crossover cable? Really? I use 3 regular ethernet cables and never have an issue, make sure wireless is turned off also

No, if you are using a laptop, make sure the wireless on the laptop is turned off so RB does not try and route through wireless over ethernet

I'm just trying to link from CDJ to CDJ, my laptop has nothing to do with it.

It's frustrating me so much, because sometimes it will work, but just stop working. I'm thinking one of the decks RJ45 plug in the back of the CDj is stuffed. I've tried 3x cables & made sure there set to auto & stuff. sooo anoying.

@Jason > Have you tried cables that didn't come with the players? Can you inspect the port on the back for any visual defects?

@Jason > I would advise you to get your units inspected at an authorised service centre. The links to find a service centre in your area are on the right>>
