Setting up CDJ2000s and DJM 2000

Hi,

Firstly apologies for any lack of intelligence!

I am trying to get rekordbox fully up and running with the CDJ 2000's, a DJM 2000 mixer and a HP laptop.

Aside from the problems I am having with dfownloading version 1.5.1 of rekordbox, it isn't entirely clear in the manual what the best way to set up the equipment and leads is.

I have a USB cable going into the back of CDJ1 from the laptop. Do I then connect the LAN cable from CDJ1 to CDJ2 to get them to talk to one another so that CDJ2 can access tracks via CDJ1 and the USB cable going into CDJ1?

What I ultimately want to do is play tracks through rekordbox from my laptop through the CDJs.

@David > Ok well, first off, lose the USB cable. We're going to be working with CAT5 / 6 cables here (i.e. LAN cables).

You connect one LAN cable from CDJ 1 to DJM2000.

You connect one LAN cable from CDJ 2 to DJM2000.

You connect one LAN cable from DJM2000 to your laptop.

All the LAN ports are clearly marked on the back of the mixer.

Ensure you have both your players and mixer updated to the latest firmware. Ensure you allow Rekordbox traffic through any firewalls so you can connect you properly. Everything will talk to each other in this configuration.

What problems are you having with the Rekordbox download?
