I just got Traktor scratch Pro 2 and for the life of me I can't figure out how to make the 900's work with thesoftware. Now it doesn't help that i don't have the manual and it doesn't help that all my buds use Serato and no one has a clue on how to use Traktor including me. help me out guys, I've gone as far as installing the driver but that's all I could figure out.

LOL my bad I just spotted the video in the Traktor fourm thing is with me I'm using a Denon DN-X1700 mixer that is also traktor certified. I can't even figure that out. Geez a lot more of a pain than Serato to get going. I still have my Serato I'm trying this out cause my mixer has a great sound card and I don't have to take the box with me where ever I go.
Well their working but the sound is not smooth and accuracy is off, the visual circle on the jog is also choppy instead of smooth when playing music and I'm hearing poping every once and a while ..... this is all after adjusting the latency to.
you will have to wait until NI release Advanced HID otherwise its pretty crappy using cdj900's with traktor and best to stick with rekordbox.
the popping will be latency on your laptop. best to follow some of the optimization tips for traktor. recommend djtechtools.com as a resource.
Thanks for the info I was a bit skeptical switching from Serato at least I know what to stick with. 1 question I'd like to use Record box but does it have the features Serato has? also when hooked up to the CDJ's do I get a visual of 2 decks like in Serato and Traktor?
currently Serato has advanced HID with cdj 900/2000 and works great. traktor has standard HID only and runs like a dog.
@Roy > No - Rekordbox is not like Serato or Traktor - you do not get the on screen visual display. Serato and Traktor are DVS systems, Rekordbox is a music management system. The display is on the CDJ.
