@Henrique > Have you considered not using the TSI file but instead using the hardware setup wizard?
Hello, my name is Henrique and I own a pair of CDJs 2000, an DJM 900 nexus and the latest MacBook Pro.
As to many of you, this is not enough for me, so I bought Traktor 2 and decided to HID everything up.
I have one major problem after all the hooking up and setting upper: my CDJ 2000 mapping is completely wrong in Traktor 2. Here are some examples: my jog wheel is mapped to pitch control, the play/pause isn't set to hear the frame of the music (while in CDJ mode, not vinyl). Hot cues are actually loops.
I tried remapping them by myself but I just couldn't do it properly. I have watched a ton of videos, even the ones from Pulse, and nothing.
I am wondering. Can someone export their CDJ 2000.tsi file and link it here for me and others who might have this problem? The auto map did not work for me!
Searched the whole forum before posting a new thread.
Thank you all very much for any possible help.

@Henrique > Have you considered not using the TSI file but instead using the hardware setup wizard?
The very first step I did. Setup Wizard -> Controller yes -> CDJ 2000 -> external mixer -> etc
Traktor 2 then recognizes everything, just fine.
When I hit play in any of the CDJs the mess begins. Moving the platter = pitch goes up or down (depending the direction I turn). Pausing the track equals to complete silence, CDJ or Vinyl mode.
Somehow Traktor 2 has mapped everything wrong, even saying CDJ 2000 up there (Controller Mapping).
That is what made me ask for the TSI file. Cuz' the basics didn't work for me.
Thanks for your response, Pulse.
@Henrique > Do you have the CDJs set to ADVANCED or STANDARD mode in the HID configuration option on the player? (You need to use STANDARD for Traktor)
What version of Traktor are you running?
Have you ever used any MIDI mappings prior to the CDJs?
Both CDJs are set to STANDARD. When I try to use ADVANCED, it doesn't even recognize Traktor, not allowing me to "Turn Encorder to set Deck A or B".
My Traktor version is 2.0.3
Never used MIDI mappigs before, no.
Thanks for your help.
Could you please update to the newest version of Traktor (2.1.2) and try again.
I was hopeful for a moment.
Same problem, Pulse. Nothing has changed.
I understand your desire to solve this problem otherwise, but I have to ask: is my export/import .TSI idea a way to solve this issue?
@Henrique > I'll fire up my CDJs this afternoon and see if I can create a TSI for you from my settings which I know are working. Usually the setup wizard helps but if you had any conflicting MIDI mappings, they might cause a problem, I don't see that this would be part of that tho if you say it's clear. A TSI should allow you to overwrite anything there so let's give that a shot.
thank you! perhaps make that exported file a sticky. May be helpful for others.
any luck doing it, Pulse?
I am pretty sure it'is Controller Manager -> select CDJ 2000 -> edit (right below it) -> export
thanks once again.
I know how to do it, just haven't had the chance yet. Today!
okay
Pulse, hey.
I've stopped searching for an solution after you posted you were going to help me with those files.
If somehow you can't make it, please let me know so I resume my search.
thanks.
Sorry, ran short on time to do it last Friday and my 2000's were out on loan for the weekend.
The controller mappings as generated by the software are attached below.
outstanding!
will try it out as soon as I get home from work.
thank you very much.
Pulse, even with the .TSI file, nothing has changed.
Either I am doing something wrong importing the .TSI file, or something wrong with my setup.
I've watched every movie available to proper configuration but still. It's like my CDJs can't understand Traktor like it should.
I am clueless now.
It works just fine - tested it on a PC and a Mac.
When you import the file, it will add the CDJ-2000 to the Controller Manager's Device list; you may need to select the In-Port to match the device, but once you select the LINK on the player and assign it to a deck, it should control the deck. If it doesn't play anything, try fixing your audio routing as Traktor hates it when your audio devices aren't present or are mis-assigned.
Maybe multiple .tsi files loaded at the same time?
It can cause a conflict if you accidently have the same or similar maps loaded together.. just delete the ones you dont need from the device list
Well.. the device list has 3 or 4 map settings.. all default. Never mapped anything myself.
I do confess one thing. I gave up on Traktor. There was no really need for me to use it... just wanted to have more options during my spins.
Hopefully I'll have the patience to try again hooking my equip with Traktor.
I think that the new update for Traktor (v2.5.1) released these days, has the full mapping layout for the CDJs.
Please correct me if I am wrong to this.
I hope I have some free time this weekend to make some tests if possible.
I think when you switch from Standard to Advanced HID on the CDJ players, you must delete your Traktor setting file and run the Setup Wizard again. (I think I read that on the Traktor boards)
I'm not really a Traktor user, but I did get the latest demo version and used it with Advanced HID and it was working fine for me.
I have an original full licensed version of Traktor Scratch Pro 2 bought mostly for use with my secondary mixer (A&H Xone:4D). However I downloaded the v2.5.1 update a couple days ago, but I didn't have some free time to proceed with the update and see how it works with the CDJs.
I didn't have to delete anything after updating to 2.5.1, just plugged, ran the setup wizard and presto.
2.5.1 with advanced hid works flawless. You might need to remove any old CDJ 2000 mapping within controller manager.
