Auto start with Fader, loop once and stop and other questions!

Hello all,

Q1) Is it possible to loop once and stop, I set up a hot loop, but I want it to play once after I hit the button, currently I hit it then press pause until I want it to go again.

Q2) 2x cdj2000s and a djm 900, how easy is it to sample something, maybe this would help qith Q1, I know pioneer is moving towards the rmx100 and efx to do stuff like this, but isnt it possible with my set up?

Q3) I set up auto start using the fader as per the manual, however if I move the fader ALL the way across it does not play, however if I move it slightly back < one bar, it works, same going back the other side, do I need a specific ch fader and cross fader settings?

Thanks in advance for any answers!

@Tony > 1) No; you have to do that manually.

2) "Sample" as in set up a hot-cue or use it in a traditional "sampler" sense?  You could create samples to use on the RMX or simply create your own samples from rekordbox and export them to WAVs (a new feature in 1.5.3) and load those files separately or to hot-cue banks.

3) You need to match the channel of the mixer to the player number, chances are you have them mis-configured.

Tony,

I do try to set a loop at the very begginings of tracks this way: hitting loop in then pressing play then hitting loop out to set its end. Seems like theres a failure with that though and it wont set a tight loop as it should. you will notice a huge drifting cause it seems to eat some part of your loop. This issue was put on here by some other djs before but was considered a low priority issue (together with some autoloop failures too). Almost 3 months after the last firmware release we can only pray for these stuff being fixed on next firmware.
