I am about to purchase a pair of this lovely device, but I am a bit afraid that if I buy them now a new model or upgrade will come out kind of CDJ 950
Does anyone here knows if they are about to be updated? Shall I wait or shall I not?

They will be updated. But only a very select few know when and your not going to get any info on here lol
It could be tomorrow or in two years.
Your best bet if you need/want them now buy now.
Well my question to make it more specific is if they will be updated soon. If they will be updated in 2 years I rather buy them now than to wait. But if in 6 months they are planning to be updated then Inrather wait. What a dilemma.
I was thinking about buying 2000s as I have 900s now. But since I have 900s I can wait for a new 2000.
Pulse or any of the team are not going to give us any hits :(

If you play the waiting game, you'll always be waiting for something new.
I know but there are difference between waiting 1 month than 1 year.
At the end of the day, you aren't going to know. Pioneer aren't just going to hold their hands up and say "oh yea in 3 weeks we're releasing...". It's not going to happen. Buy what you need, then sell it if/when something else comes along.
Pioneer is ALWAYS working on "the next thing" and while there is no annual release timeline like Apple or auto manufacturers, as Mark says, if you need it now, buy it now. If you wait, you run the risk of missing the opportunity on the current model or you find yourself as an early-adopter or waiting for the next-next model.
