FolgenSuitable switch for cdj 2000s
Hi everyone, I'm sure it has been asked before but I just wanted people's opinions on this switch for a pro Dj setup.
It's cheap and cheerful but I obviously want one that will work properly so any recommendations would be good :-)
Cheers,
Kenfold.

do yourself a favor and grab one that has a major brand name on it. Linksys/Cisco, D-Link, Netgear. You'll have less headaches down the road.
So long as it's not a router or managed switch, you're fine with almost anything -- but brand names will sometimes be built better than the generic / OEM versions.
@Gavin> very much appreciated, im just going to order that one now. Cheers.
@ Gavin - I purchased the Netgear FS108, but I see that some people are using the GS108 gigabit switch. Do I really need a gigabit switch? Or with the FS108 I will be OK to operate DJ Pro Link effectivelly.
Gavin, please may you explain why the Netgear FS108 is a favourite.
If I have a laptop, 2x CDJ2000NXS + DJM900NXS, I only need 4 no. ports, so would a Netgear FS105 be suitable?
Ta.
@Eduardo > No, the FS is more than capable of handling your needs - it has never let me down yet.
@Looshus > For sure use the FS105 if you wish - I need the extra ports at times. Its a super strong, well built piece of equipment - hence why I recommend it.
Gavin, thanks.
Instead of the switch, do you have a recommended wireless router?
Most models from Netgear / Cisco / Linksys work well. I haven't had the opportunity to test a specific model just yet.
This info is from Pioneer DJ Support:
In general, commercially available switching hubs of 100 Mbps or greater can be used.
The following switching hubs have been tested for interoperability with PRO DJ LINK:
- Allied Telesis: AT-FS708-10
- D-LINK: DES-108
- NETGEAR: GS108
