Pre Purchase Question regarding Tag List

I'm looking to buy a pair of the 900's due to the ability to link players together and run on a single USB.

Coming from a Vinyl background I like the idea of the tag list. Question is, when you play a track in the tag list will it be marked as already played after playing? If so will it also mark the track as played when browsing outside of the tag list? I've noticed that the 2000 does mark tracks that have already been played, and have searched far and wide something to show how it works on the 900.

The track is removed from the TAG list after it is played and yes, it will be shown as played in your collection as well.

How does it mark a track that has already been played? Meaning, most tracks show a musical note, tagged tracks show a check mark, what is used to show one that has already played?

On the CDJ2000 it turns green, on the CDJ900 the icon changes to an inverse icon (black note on white background).
