cdj 900's dropping link randomly

Hi,

Recently i've been having some trouble with keeping my cdj900's linked together.  At first it didn't occur often but now it happens with every use, sometimes a couple of times during a mix.  I'll be mixing and have them linked ok, then randomly the link will drop and I can't regain it without either shutting the decks down and rebooting, and removing the ethernet cable at the same time then re-plugging the cable back in and turning the system on.

I've tried numerous combinations of storage devices, ethernet cables and firmware updates but the problem persists.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated :)

@Leigh > Just to cover the essentials again: both CDJs are on the latest firmware; you have tried using different link cables. Are you using a network switch / router or have you the players connect directly? Is there any noticeable defects with the RJ45 ports on the back of the CDJs? Are you having the issue on one or both CDJs? Is the problem occurring on the host CDJ?

I would suggest what Gavin noted - to check the female LINK ports on the CDJs for damaged pins or simply pins that aren't in alignment with the others.

@Gavin > The firmware is v410.  I connect the cdj's together directly, and have tried different link cables.  Both players are having the issue, and it only occurrs on the player that is trying to link to the host; ie: Player 1 is host, player 2 will drop link to player 1 at ranom.  It occurs the other way around as well.

@Gavin/Pulse > I just checked the female ports and no visible damage is present.  Pins are all aligned and in good condition (can provide photo's if required).

I've also aligned all cables so that no cable crosses/touches to rule out any interferance.
