[SOLVED] Flash Drive Problem.

Hello there.

I have the cdj900's and am experiencing a 'crackling' sound when playing files through a usb flash drive. It sounds like and old vinyl 'popping' sound. At first I thought it was the usb's, but different usb's have the same result. It isn't the files themselves as they sound perfect when burned to cd, and they are nearly all 320 wavs. It's the same on both players. I'm using rekordbox, and my laptop, which is a hp g62.

I am very much a noob, admittedly here, so apologies if it's just a simple error on my part . I did try everything I see mentioned on here. I have them formatted to fat32, and have the latest firmware installed on the cdjs.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Mainly Beatport, surely it should be fine? As I say, it isn't the files as far as I can see; they're perfect when burned to cd. It's only when played through flash drive I get the 'crackling'. Playing through my ipod, they are fine.

Let me know how to send you a sample you still want one.

Missed a comma mate (320, wavs etc)! (I am new to this though, admittedly).

lol - no worries.  Typos happen!

Have you tried removing the album artwork from those MP3s to see if that helps?  I know for some reason, MP3s from Beatport seem to have problems with their album art.
