I have never used a single CD in my CDJ-2000s before so I don't know how they work with it.
But as for burning software I like to use Roxio Toast for Mac.
Hello all, ive been searching the forums for some information but havent had much luck, thought id post this.
Ive recently been burning my cds using iTunes 'Data CD & DVD' option to burn my WAV / AIFF files (I use verbatim cds, and burn them at 8x or lower). Before, i was just burning them using the 'Audio CD' option but noticed that it doesn't display artwork and other track data (bpm, etc). While using the data cd & dvd option, i noticed that my cdj2000s load the tracks a little slower and seem to take longer when trying to use the needle search, << >> search, and track search. i also notice the audio memory status display flashes a lot more than with regular audio cds. I understand that theres more data to process and all, but just wanted to see if this was normal.
Do any of you recomend using certain settings on on itunes burning platform to make playback on these lossless tracks better in general? or recommend any other software for burning cds?
Any help or recommendations would be great
Thanks!
J

thanks ill look into it.. 80 bucks sounds a little steep for just burning cds, but ive used roxio like 5 years ago and loved it. haven't tried any of their software recently tho
I don't know why you are wasting time with CD's?
Why are u not using Rekordbox and usb / sd cards?
it brings so much more to the table..
i still use cds bc not all clubs/parties/other settings have the cdj2000s. i use rekordbox but i still like to keep
my cds handy.
Pros/Cons...
Audio CD
Pro - guaranteed playback in virtually any CD player anywhere
Pro - it loads the songs and waveforms faster
Con - it's just a music CD
Data CD / DVD
Pro - it holds more songs per disc and can have any of the four supported filetypes
Pro - certain filetypes support metaags / album artwork
Con - the waveforms build in realtime
thanks Pulse. i might just stick to the Audio CD option. seems to respond better with the cdj2000s too. thanks for your input.
@jcuerv07 > Yes, Audio CDs are definitely the best option if you are going down the CD route. Have you considered USB sticks or SD cards etc?
