My problem child, the CDJ-850:
My CDJ-850 started yesterday to loop by itself.
He begins to start somewhere in the song a Loop and sprint between two and eight beats back and forth. I can exit the loop, but it follows shortly a next inappropriate loop.
I have program the firmware again and it has then been re-worked for about an hour.
Do you know this problem?
(MP3-CD, CD or USB-stick: all media with the same problem)

I have the CD player now for about three months. They were purchased by the previous owner last November.
I use it only with rekordbox + MP3s or audio CDs. And it is the last firmware on them....

i have the original receipt and this (!) problem is since the CDJ was at pioneer germany for service.

What was it originally sent in for repair of?
correct! It was at pioneer because a water-problem (from the original user - EUR 655.- for thisservice) or because a not responding joystick. I dont know it exactly because one is back and they did not write which one...

If the loops are auto engaging without you doing anything then it would seem there is still a problem with the unit since its repair. I would recommend you return the unit to where it was originally fixed, with the receipt, and explain the issue.
