@Roberto > It seems pretty obvious that this is a file related issue. Have you tried scanning the file with mp3val? Did you get any errors?
Where did you get the original track from?
Hi, I have a bit of a strange problem. My CDJ-900's freeze up whenever I call up a particular pre-defined Cue on Flo Rida's Whistle. This happens with all players (the 2 I have at home and the 3 at the club). I've tried everything. It happens with both USB sticks (and they are different brands) and it happens even after I've deleted the song from my collection in Rekordbox and re-added it using a different MP3 file. Even at a different bit rate (it happened with a file at 320 kbps and a variable 263 kps).
In short, no matter what the file, the stick, nor the player, the CDJ-900 frrezes up whenever I load that particular song and call up a Cue point. The time display keeps flashing as if the player cannot find the Cue point in the file. I need to eject the USB stick and then I get ERR 8302 in the display.
I'm lost looking for solutions. Anyone?

I have exact same issue with The track is Afrojack ft. Wrabel - Ten Feet Tall (David Guetta Remix) bought on beatport. It freezes the CDJ900 ONLY when I use it in a playlist. Either from a LINK or directly from USB. It freezes when I press one of the CALL buttons. Have to restart the player. The track works fine if I browse to it from the ARTIST side.
Both players are latest firmware (4.32). Here is the track infro from mediainfo:

see if deleting the album art helps, it tends to screw the players up. I purposely delete any and all album art, I don't need it and it causes more harm then good at times
Beatport and album art are notorious troublemakers. As BriChi says, try removing it and see if it helps.
K same problem different track. Tried both ways with album art and without. It plays fine and cycles through cue points when I browse to the track however freezes the player when in Playlist mode. I can send someone the file to test to see if it's just me. But tried it on 2 different CDJs

Lyrics : Release type: Release / ---------------------------------------------- / Exclusive to beatport: No / ---------------------------------------------- / Sebastian Ingrosso has become synonymous with bringing young talent through the ranks and turing them into forces within the scene, so signing up this young, yes you guessed it, Swedish talent you would be right to expect big things. Kicking off the proceedings is the brilliant 'Million Voices' from Otto Knows that has already been supported heavily by a select few from the SHM camp's close circle and has been causing quite a stir around town. With this much buzz on a record you better believe Otto Knows will be bringing a lot more to the table across the global dance floor for the foreseeable future. This is hooky as hell and delivers a devastating drop to provide the backdrop to yet another monster from Ingrosso's Refune imprint. Tried converting the file to WAV and then recode to MP3 and getting exact same issue
Happened again the other day. Different tracks that worked fine in prior sets. This is ONLY happening when a track is part of a playlist. The same tracks play fine when browsed to through other ways. Pioneer needs to address this!!!
Please post a link to the track if possible for engineers to inspect.
I am explaining again. It's not a particular track. It's only happening when it's part of a playlist. I would have to send you a direct copy of my flash drive with that exact playlist.
If it's consistent with that one track, please send just the one track.
It's a different track everytime. And track that worked in one playlist doesn't work in another.
It happened again. New playlist and different track. Here's a video. I can reproduce it every time on different CDJs. Must be something to do that a track is part of a playlist. As you can see it worked fine when I browsed to the track itself.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Jl6Kd7TTXo (sorry it's turned, youtube is processing rotation ;))
It's me again. The guy that opened this thread.
We're now 2 years down the road and I still have that problem. With different tracks. I've had it with Fatboy Slim's "Everybody loves a carnival", the Tiësto remix of John Legend's "All of me" just to name a few.
As with Alex, it only happens when part of a playlist. If I select the rack via ARTIST browsing, I can call up the cue points without a problem.
This is quite an issue if you're playing with 2 decks via a Link connection and the player holding the USB stick is the one freezing in the middle of a gig.
Quite annoying that this still happens and we're now 4 years down the line. Alex, have you heard of any fix?
No fix that I know off. My workaround is literally browse through my playlist before my set using CDJ and try to cycle through cue point and "pray" that none of the tracks crash. If I find one that does, randomly it still happens, I note that I have to browse to that track using other methods (i.e., through ARTISTS).
Thanks for the update. I run around with 3 identical USB sticks and avoid using the LINK function, becuase if player A (containing the USB) freezes while B is playing, then I'm literally f-ed.
I'm very disappointed to see that Pioneer never really tried to fix this. All dj's I know have this same random issue pop up once in a while.
I hear you brother. I stopped using LINK for that exact reason. The video I posted demonstrates the problem clearly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Jl6Kd7TTXo
Yep. Saw the video before. Very clear demonstration.
