No i know that they will not be on the old cdj2000, But as dreamtreez said, when you put your usb in the old cdj and connect it with the nexus you get the waveform on the nexus and ofcourse not on the old cdj. But how is that possible? That will mean that the old cdj can read it also but it will not show right??

@Niels, I think you understood it wrong. As BriChi wrote above, your cdj2000mk1 don't get this new features when connected to a nexus cdj. Your cdj2000mk1 will have the same preview on screen as it is now. The only difference is that a nexus cdj will have this features even if it reads music from a cdj2000mk1 via Link.

It doesn't mean that. It means that with the new firmware the cdj2000 works as a bridge between your usb hdd and the nexus.

Yeap now you are right. The info it is in the USB stick. At the end of the day Rekord Box is same for all cdj2000s. The thing is that Pioneer claims that cdj2000mk1 doesn't have the hardware to support these features.

Is there any changelog with more details? I really noted an improvement on the load of hot cues.

Yeah indee dreamtreez. but if the old cdj 2000 has not the correct hardware how it is possible that when you have the old cdj connected to a nexus. And you have a usb in the old cdj and you are playing with the nexus. that means that the old cdj is reading it also but dont display it becouseee???

The info the nexus need can be send via a old cdj2000 but the old one cant display it?

True. The info it is on the USB as exported from RB. It is possible for nexus cdj to read it since it supports all these features. But for cdj2000mk1 is not possible cause it doesn't support it. Pioneer claims that cdj2000mk1 won't display these new features cause the hardware is limited. I am not a computer maniac, but if you ask for my opinion that is crap. It's all about programming and software. Everything is possible if they sit down and add it to the software. i doubt that cdj2000 nexus has a different video card or hardware. Mostly I believe is the same with cdj2000mk1. If you compare the two screens you will see it is the same. Same resolution, same fonts, same everything. Only difference is that nexus has more features added in the screen.

But I might be wrong. I haven't seen the Nexus yet so I hold my breath until I see one.

I do own the Nexus and I believe the screen is definitely brighter and the resolution is better, I could be wrong though, could just be they way they tweaked the card.

Like i said in another thread, we all know Siri can work on an iPhone 4, but they only included it on the iPhone 4s or higher because if they added Siri to the 4 also, why would anyone buy the 4S, so if they added all the "cool" features to the 2000mk1 also, why would we buy a Nexus :)

Also I want to say that I am really disappointed by Pioneer support and software update in the cdj2000. It took them 2 years to "somehow" fix MT. But the worst part is that during these 2 years MT was useless and Pioneer wouldn't admit it. Maybe they should make a deal with Microsoft or Apple and let them program the software as Pioneer is obvious that can't handle it.

If you don't want to pay expensive for new players every 3 years then stop feeding them with free ideas to make the new players.

they will still make new players every 3 years just to keep up with other technology and brands, Denon integrated the iPad first into players so it's not like me asking for that 2 years ago is why Pioneer added it now, they have to keep up or innovate for others to keep up. Right now I just wish their software and FW would be up to par and bug free

@BriChi, you are all correct in what you say. Unfortunately this is how the market works.

I would prefer for example to pay for a Pioneer software update package, than buy a new unit for few add-ons.

As for the screen, I am not sure cause i haven't seen it, but from pics the resolution is exactly the same. Put a cdj2000mk1 next to your cdj nexus and make the comparison. It could be really interesting to read your feedback. Brightness has nothing to do with it. I am talking about the graphics.

@Tasos, you could do this test as well since you own a nexus cdj. You could also compare the speed of loading the software when you power on.

Removed certain feature restrictions when connecting CDJ-2000nexus and CDJ-2000/CDJ-900 via LAN cable.

there were not going to be any new features, as it was stated before, if you don't expect anything you will not be disappointed.

if you want new features you will have to buy the new ones of move to a new platform. and I think pioneer has made it clear that is there stance.

I think it sucks, but no one listens to me.

The first thing I looked for on the Nexus decks was the "so called" higher Res / more vivid screen.

Definately doesn't look higher Res to my eyes.

the other sad part is the 2000mk1 loads the hot starts faster then the Nexus :(

Pioneer really disappointed me. It is pretty much a mockery of the consumer. These new features will work only if I buy a new player for 1800 €? No way!!! Very expensive.
People are not stupid. If pioneer respects its customers, it will do, that no need cdj 2000nexus connection, for new functions.

It's not NEW FEATURES, it's ensuring the features of the CDJ2000nexus are available when linked with CDJ2000 or CDJ900 players.

So the question is will there be any new features passed back from the work everyone so kindly helped pioneer with over the last three years to the MK1?

@ > Pulse: After this answer, I can conclude, that no more new updates with new features for CDJ 2000. PIONEER REALY "LOVE" ITS COSTUMERS.

how about giving us some paid updates instead of bringing out new players as soon as you have enough of our ideas to build something new.

well i for myself won't recommend pioneer anymore, since building quality decreased significantly and products are being released which cause a lot of problems.

Update politics and communication to the user-base is also frustrating...

I just wanted to post something positive for a change. I still have the 2000 mk1s and i understand why people are frustrated about not getting any new features etc etc. But just look back 3 and a half years ago when you all had the 1000s. There was no firmware updates so when you got them out of the box that was literally what you got, nothing more nothing less. of course i would love a firmware update for the 2000 mk1 but at the end of the day they are still an awesome bit of kit and i dont think they can really be faulted. Pioneer still have to run as a business, you wouldnt buy a car and then 3 years later expect them to upgrade the engine to the newest model?.

Dont have a go at me, im just saying what i think and with or without 2000 nexus features the 2000 mk1s are no 2nd class CDJ.
