@Mark U > Are you inquiring about the 2000 or 2000nexus? Any time I have run the 2000s with Traktor the integration has always been really tight with little lag. I doubt you'll encounter many issues.

FolgenCan anyone comment on Traktor + Advanced HID with the 2000's?
Hi everyone. I'm looking for any feedback on using Traktor with the Advanced HID functionality of the CDJ-2000's before I purchase. My main concerns are mostly around latency. Specifically, there doesn't seem to be many comments online that directly compare the responsiveness of platter control when using Advanced HID versus timecode. In the end do the platter and buttons (play/cue) all behave just like you're using CDs or USB?
Thanks!

Hi mark, I used the mk1s with traktor a few times with advanced hid and found it seamless from playing off USB. The decks just responded the same with no lag at all. It has been very well implimented IMHO.
I'm referring to both the 2000 or Nexus really, but I'm leaning towards buying the Nexus now especially after seeing that firmware update supposedly coming on Dec 3rd. Thanks for the input.
Hello, Ive been using 2000's (not Nexus) with Traktor and advanced HID for a while and its good. Played many gigs over many hours and it works well. There is little if any noticeable latency. Do yourself a favor and stay away from the Nexus players at the moment, they are still in beta testing. Also, using traktor with advanced HID gives you all the functionality of the Nexus players and more. If you are going to stick with advanced HID, there is no need to by the nexus players.
Alex.
I've tested the CDJ2000s and CDJ2000 Nexus with Traktor Advanced HID and both work great.
The Master and Sync buttons on the CDJ2000 Nexus also map to Traktor, so it works great while I start moving over all my music to Rekordbox
I wanted to say that I bought the 2000's (not the Nexus) and I'm pretty happy all around with it. I can use Traktor with 2.0ms latency without issues and it feels identical to playing directly on the units. That said I'm leaning towards just using rekordbox except it keeps crashing making it almost unusable :\
Hi, I can confirm too. CDJ2000mk1 and Traktor Scratch Pro 2.6 via HID mode works just fine. Similar when using a USB. You can also assign some buttons of it to control other features of Traktor (for example the two Vinyl Speed Adjust knobs). The only thing that bothers me (and please someone confirm that this is happening in other cdj2000mk1s and not just mine) that when players are in HID mode connected to Traktor, I can scroll down the playlist viewing it in laptop screen and choose a track, but sometimes I can't see all the tracks listed in cdj screen. Also in cdj2000mk1 screen I can't see the whole waveform. I can only see half of it when I load / play a track.
oups!! had to come back and correct myself. I don't use so much Traktor with my cdjs so I didn't know that there is advanced HID mode in Traktor. Above I posted how Traktor worked in HID Standard. From what I have read in forums and watching in videos, advanced HID should solve all the above problems.
OK. I have been playing with Advanced HID Mode in Traktor with my cdj2000mk1 for the last couple of hours. Amazing work you guys. It is proper!!
@DT > Cool, thanks for updating the thread and letting us know.
