I like it because i do just that, skip some long drop outs, I set "C" hot starts purposely to jump past a long drop so i dont lose a dance floor thats not into standing around waiting for the beat to kick back in

FolgenNexus feature request Jump automatically to a certain point in the track
Hello ,
I have a feature request for the cdj 2000 nexus : Auto cue point
Maybe this isn't the right time for feature requests, but hopefully after December the 4th it will be ;)
What I would like to suggest is Auto cue point :
Jump automatically to a certain point in the track
You need to be able to set an IN point and an OUT point.
The IN point would be the place / time WHEN the cdj needs to jump to the OUT point.
Basically your cdj would jump to a Hot cue without having to press the hot cue button at the right time.
This would be very useful as you can " edit " tracks.
You would have the ability to skip parts of the track, long build ups .......
What do you guy's think???
CAN YOU DIG IT ???!!!!???

Bammm , A Brichi approved feature!
exactly what you said!!! But imagine this could be done automatically!! :)))
hahahaha, that would be great! I love the idea
maybe call it "active hot cues" like the "active loop" feature
i would also love to see this feature in an future firmware-update! could be very usefull.
great idea!
@ Brichi, Active hot cues is a great name!
@ soda , you are damn right! ;)
Great idea !
why not just edit the track within a DAW, just cut it?
Because it's one more conversion of an MP3 I wouldn't have to do
like EpikureeR say, why not make an edit of the track instead of this ?
there is many programs that you easily can edit songs in... thats what real djs have done for years ;-)
you can say that about every feature the deck already has :)
and you're trying to say im not a real dj cause we want a feature added? thats pretty funny
If you have to go through the effort of putting in the points for a jump, you could have spent the time editing! ;)
If you have to go through the effort of putting in the points for a active loop, you could have spent the time editing! but that feature was added ;)
Of course we'll put the idea forward as a suggestion but there's only so much doubling up of features can be added on the one set of buttons before things start getting too confusing. That's why we do think you'd be better off editing beforehand in your software of choice.
Loose up Brichi !
And dont take everything so damn negative here..
If you read my text real slow you can see that I said nothing to offend you at all, I even added a smiley ;-)
Frederick, no harm was meant by that man, sorry f it came off wrong. It's hard to tell peoples real meaning sometimes over forums, I apologize if we took each others posts the wrong way
@ Frederik , saying that real dj's edit there songs in software is .... .thats why you stepped a bit at Brichi's toe (just like mine) . But I have no problem with your opinion!!
@ Pulse , as a pioneer corespondent I do not expect an answer like that. Gavin is always more clear in his answers. His words are worth reading. Sorry to say , I don't want to sound rude.
What I make up from your words is that YOU don't like it. And you try to make that clear with a weird statement.
Setting 2 quantized points in rekordbox VS editing a track is a biggg difference.
You know that most of the nexus features are "extras". they are not required for making a mix.
I still respect your thought.
I just think (like others) that this feature would be very useful and it would extra value to the nexus. Just think about it ;)
@ Gavin , Thank you for forwarding this as an suggestion!!
I understand the problem with "doubling up of features" per set of buttons.
But just like the active loop , It wouldn't require a set of buttons.. setting it up in rekordbox is enough.
Just my thought!! A little bit of brainstorming about the possibility's of the nexus is always interesting!
greetings
Thanks One, no big deal to argue about our personal opinions.
