@Scott > if you've nothing else connected up except the power cable and no media inserted (SD cards / USB sticks etc) when powering up then you'll need to take the unit to an authorised service centre for repair.

Folgen[CLOSED] 8709 e Communication Error
Hey, So today i turned on my CDJ 2000 and found it to boot up very slowly and then just display 8709 e communication error. all other functions do not work.
So i unplugged all the cable to the CDJ and turned it on and off.. Still he same error.
How do i fix this....?
My usual setup is two CDJ 2000 linked to each other using one usb stick. The player with the usb stick in it is fine..
Occasionally I will use a LAN HUB to connect record box to both CDJ...

Same here...
LOL, I GET THAT IN THE MIDDLE OF A SET AND ALSO EMERGENCY LOOPS OUT OF NOWHERE!!
Guys, if you are having issues please open separate threads. What you are saying @KidQuest doesn't pertain to @Scotts problem.
@Gavin, your right... just pure frustration, that's all. :(
im not keen on how baggy the rj45 connector is on these players... i really would like to see some sort of positive connection between the conetors here... i know the rj45 is a standard connection for networking and all that... but its really no good for the environments we play in.
(coming from someone how cant nail down his communications issues - between players, hub & mixer).
Greetings, I'm new to this Forum, and I have recently purchased 2 CDJ - 2000 Nexux LImited,
Yesterday I got the same message as my fellow Pioneer users above, (8709- communication error)
I have tried all the above solutions, and I still get the same messages,
the problem now, is that I live in Sao Paulo Brasil, since I need to take the Nexus in for service can you please refer me to a Pioneer service center that can deal with this problem,
Also, does warrenty cover this?
Many Thanks
Dennis
@Dennis > Welcome to the forums!
It may not necessarily mean you have a hardware issue. In fact, you likely don't. Can you tell me some more about the error... can you reproduce the error on demand? Did it only happen once or has it happened several times?
