Settings Questions

Still haven't got my decks yet but was looking at the rekordbox settings and there's just a couple i'm not sure about:

Eject/Load Lock (Lock/Unlock)

Auto Cue (ON/OFF)

What do they do? Thanks!

Eject/Load Lock (Lock/Unlock) - stops CD's being ejected when pressing the button

Auto Cue (ON/OFF) - allows continuous play / stops play at next track

If Auto Cue is continuous playback, then what is Play Mode? (Single/Continue)

If it stops CD's from being ejected how would you ever eject a CD? Does you mean it prevents it from ejecting a CD if there is a song playing? If so, does that work for stopping Flash Drives as well?

Auto cue automatically cues the track at the first beat when loaded (I think).

It does not stop you pulling out the USB stick - if you do that an emergency loop will start.

I meant pressing the USB stop button

Can I get confirmation from anyone who knows for sure?

auto cue off - continuous / auto cue on stops and cues @ next track

you cannot eject a cd while the eject lock is pressed

No - if you press usb stop it will stop the usb is eject lock is pressed or not as they are separate

nb the emergency loop is only on the Nexus

I'm not talking about the eject lock button, I believe they removed that from the nexus decks and now it's just a setting, which is why that setting is there in rekordbox

Eject lock prevents loading/ejecting of a track to/from a player that is currently playing a track. The loaded track must be paused/stopped to load a new track, whether it's CD, USB, SD, rekordbox via ProDJ link etc.. You can eject a CD with the Eject/Load function set to 'Lock' but the player must not be playing a track at the time the eject button is pressed.

The manual backs up what Pionix said, there appears to be no relation between the USB eject function and the eject/load lock function.

The Eject load/lock function is also available in the player's utility menu (can be modified without using rekordbox).

Thank you very much Hatrik!

Do you know the difference between these two settings as well?

auto cue off = song starts playing automatically when loaded into the player.

auto cue on = song automatically cues up at the beginning when loaded into the player

Pleasure :)

Play Mode in "Single" prevents moving to the previous/next track with the jog wheel (eg while cuing or scratching), you can only skip to the previous/next track by hitting the "track search" and "search buttons". Continuous allows moving from one track to another using the jog wheel. I remember this being one of the complaints ppl had when trying to scratch at the beginning of a track (it would skip to the previous track while scratching) so this function addresses that issue.

Here's the online manual if you want to check it out :)
