Nexus: Full red 4-beat bar

Try to play it again, and tell us what happend. Only one track?

Tried the same track again but it displayed as normal.

Sounds like the beat grid adjust lines. Hold the waveform zoom button in for a few seconds and the lines will appear...

Phil, I think you might be right.

I've just tried playing it again (any track) with the rotary knob selected to Beat Grid and it played with the red bars running through the waveform. I normally play with the Waveform Zoom selected.

I did have a few drinks at the time so there's my answer!

@Gavin - All issues will never be resolved I'm beginning to think.

I'm still having problems with Hot Cues. When I press a saved Hot Cue, I expect it to play instantly. Instead, there is a short delay before it plays. This is crap, especially when trying to remix on the fly.

sounds like you've got Quantise switched on...

I always have Quantize on - could this cause the delay? How come? It should still play the moment I hit the button.

that's your problem, quantize on is causing the delay. it's shifting your timing onto 'the grid' to keep it in time. this is the whole purpose of quantize, to keep things on the beat. if you're fractionally too late, the hot cue will start from the next 16th and this is what you are perceiving as a delay (whereas it is actually just doing its job!).

if you turn quantize off, there will be no delay.
