@Paulm72 > What device are you loading from and how do you have it formatted? Where do you get your tracks and what format are they in?

FolgenSorry I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings....but
I can't believe it I've had a play on my Nexus tonight and guess what every time I tried to load a second track onto the first deck I got the now loading flash and had to switch off the deck every time to get it to stop.
Now I know the hot cue freezes were resolved which is great but it doesn't seem to have sorted this issue which I've suffered since September when I first bought them.
I'm using the latest RB software and have the decks connected by an ethernet hub to an iMac desktop.
Anyone else having issues with loading tracks ?

Hi Gavin,
All my tracks are from Beatport 320 mp3. I run Rekorbox over pro dj link to my iMac. It only locked up on the first player the second deck was fine and wasn't powered off once.
Cheers
And how old is the iMac? What are the specs and what OS are you running?
Have you also updated to 1.0.6?
The iMac is only 9months old from new and is a core i5 processor with 4gb of memory.
Yes the nexus have been upgraded
Ok, I'll create a ticket for the engineers and see what they say.
@Paulm72 I'm just curious, what's the brand of your network switch? Is it a separate network for just ProDJ Link or is the switch connected to your home network as well? Also check the attached Pro DJ Link Setup Guide, maybe it helps?!
From Pionner Support:
In general, commercially available switching hubs of 100 Mbps or greater can be used. _
_The following switching hubs have been tested for interoperability with PRO DJ LINK.
Allied Telesis: AT-FS708-10
D-LINK: DES-108
NETGEAR: GS108

Hi Oakstream i can't recall the type but it's not connected the home network and worked perfectly well with my 2000 MK1's.
I've read that before mate too - thanks though for the recommendations. I'm considering getting one of the recommended switches to rule it out but as I say I didn't have any RB issues with the 1st gen players.
i've just ordered the netgear 108 because once again every time I loaded a track on the first deck it froze with the now loading flashing.
Another update Gavin,
I've just played for an hour with no lock ups when playing from my iPhone - all tracks loaded onto the CDJ's fine
Is this a RB 2.0.2 issue ?
Well I am completely hopping mad.
My issue with the loading tracks onto deck 1 has now deteriorated into not being able to load a track at all. So the deck is totally useless.
EPIC FAIL my experience of these Nexus decks thus far !
Fantastic news - just set up the Netgear GS108 and the decks load perfectly with no hanging. This is a really significant finding as how many other people complaining of lock ups could this be down to the ethernet switch being used ??
I'm happy again
great news man, glad it worked out for ya
That's great! :)
great news paul, glad you've got it working!
Cheers guys, can't wait to record a new mix now ! :-)
@Paulm72 - How are you finding the Netgear GS108 swich?
Have you not encountered any freezing/loading issues since using this switch?
I'm considering buying one if I know it resolves all problems 100%.
Thanks
Hi S-Type, it's been good and nowhere near as many errors. There's been the odd occasion where I've selected the link and i've had the loading message appear on the decks but I've switched off the switch and restarted it and all's well again. I'm not sure whether I should be powering down after use or whether to leave the switch powered up so it could be me not using it properly but night and day in comparison to the issues i had prior to it's purchase.
@Paul > Thats great news, many thanks for updating us. Pioneer do have a list of recommended switch manufacturers on their support site - Allied Telesis, D-Link and Netgear.
Would the Netgear GS105 be recommended?
I don't need 8 ports and seems a waste of money with me only needing 3 ports
which is why I'd like to know if the GS105 will perform the same as the GS108.
Thanks
DJ S-TYPE I have been running the netgear GS105 connecting with my 2000 nxs, laptop & djm 900, without any problem, no waiting screens or problem loading. so go for it.
