I believe (like the 900's and 2000's) you have to use RB to pre-build the waveform otherwise it builds as it plays and then it should be stored for that track

yes somtimes it builds up when it play's and then the cdj remembers the wave from. but some times i dont builds it up when a track plays at al, sometimes nothing happens with the wave form!
same here too. It's flakey at best :-( even when it has been fully analyzed it doesn't seem to be displayed 100% of the time.
^Or displays a completely incorrect waveform...um yeah. Sadly one of the supposedly standout differentiating points between a 350 and 850. So much for a larger screen with more information.
I also see that completely played libraries on USB stick, umounted the way it should (e.g. with the stop button -- at times waveworms that shpuld have been there are lost again.
HELP?
@Roeland > Would it be possible to analyse one of these problematic waveform tracks with mp3val and see if it gives you any error?
I can check it... stay tuned.
For the sake of availability I now use rekordbox which creates all of them without problem.
I have the feeling it's not the track itself as it's fairly random. Like if I have two same USB stcks (exaclty the same files) and if I start both (acue off) I do see that one player picks up a track and generates waveform, while the other doesn't.
Note that I haven't lost any waveform when done by rekordbox. It would ead to believe that maybe not all data is flushed or notin time? (Eventhough I umounted the usb stick correctly all the time)
@Roeland > Thanks for that information. I'd be interested to hear your results when you get the opportunity and hopefully we can get an engineer to chime in with some help.
@Roeland > Please be sure you are using the latest version of rekordbox and have re-scanned your tracks if yoau used a version earlier than 2.0 to import your tracks. Once you have re-scanned the tracks, export new copies to a freshly-formatted external USB device and try again. If the problem persists, please post again in the rekordbox forum.
