Pioneer CDJ 2000 & USB - First Time!

Hi

Hi All

I'm playing on CDJ2000's with USB stick for the first time in a club this evening. I have RekordBox on my MacBook and have dragged my music libary into it to be analyzed. My question is, by simply adding the analzyed tracks to the USB devise in RekordBox, will they be ready to play on the CDJ's? or do I need to do something to USB or in RekordBox in order for the CDJ to read the contents of USB stick?

Don't want to get to the club later, plug my USB stick in and it doesn't read any of my tracks!

I'm using a Corsair Voyager 16GB USB 3.0 flash drive.

Thanks

DJ Mikey Jay

I am using same brand USB stick as yours. Everything should work fine. Just make sure you format the stick in Fat32, then export your playlists to USB and should work. I would suggest you export your music via RB to a second USB stick too and take it with you, just in case something goes wrong with first one.

Good luck

be aware that cdj2000 can only read USB sticks that are formated in Fat32 or Fat. If you format the stick in Mac OS or NTFS, the cdj2000 won't read it.

It reads fat and Mac OS, I format mine Mac and it works great

for the complete list if you are interested, the 2000's support FAT12, FAT16, FAT32, HFS+(mac)
