2000 nexus with traktror

Hi,

I want to use my new CDJ-2000's nexus with traktror. The connection works fine but I have problems with my loop. Creating a loop is no an issue but I can't go from example a 4 bar loop to a 8 bar loop. From a 8 bar to a 4 bar loop is no problem (with the loop mode).

Also going back or forward with a loop is an issue.

Besides that I can't use the vinyl speed adjucst knobs anymore.

Tx for answering my questions!

Regards,

Tom

hello Tom,

first I wanna say I own two cdj2000mk1 and not the nexus but it should be the same. No you can't jump from 4 bar loop to 8 bar loop by using only cdj2000. You need to use the mousepad in order to do that. Same goes for going back or forward a loop. To be honest I use a NI X1 controller for these Traktor features which is very simple to use without touching my laptop.

Now concerning the brake and vinyl speed knobs, No there is no functionality of these two in Traktor. The reverse/forward doesn't do anything too. However you can manually assign them to other Traktor functionality.

@Dream your info is incorrect. On the MK1 you can adjust the loop size. The <Rec/Call> button functions as a shift. There are various options:

  1. Press the <4 beat loop> button for a 4 beat Loop

  2. Press and hold the <Rec/Call> button and press the <4 beat loop> button for an 8 beat Loop

When you press the <4 beat loop> button again it will cut the loop size in half. If you do this while holding the <Rec/Call> button it will double the loop size.

E.g if you want to set a 16 beat loop you hold the <Rec/Call> button and press the <4 beat loop> button twice.

@Michael, thanks a lot mate for the info. I didn't know that, even though after writing the above post I was thinking that there might be a combination of buttons in cdj2000 to adjust the loop size when using Traktor. Do you know if there is a way in cdj2000 to move the loop forward or backwards??

Thanks again
