I usually spin with USBs prepared in Rekordbox and then play them on cdj2000/nexus and a djm900 nexus mixer (most of the venues i play in)
But I have a gig coming up at a venue that has 2x CDJ 2000 Nexus but a Rane Sixty-Eight mixer ( i think it's Rane's best). Is it possible to play the way i usually do? Or do I have to use serato? (never used it so far). If I can use that Rane mixer with the CDJs and just my USBs, what would i NOT be able to do that I could usually do when using a DJM mixer?

it would be exactly the same, Most venues that have the 900 mixer dont wire in the ethernet to take care of the features anyway but if they did, you would now lose the on air lights on the cdj when mixing and the quantized effects, other then that, its the same setup
So i can still link and quantize and stuff? no need for my macbook?
correct, just bring an ethernet cable with you just in case, Link the cdj's together and use as normal. The 900 is irrelevant to the CDJ2000 setup as far as the cdm features go like quantize, loops, cues, etc..... I used the 2000's for some years with the djm800, the only advantage i got from the 900 upgrade is on air lights and quantized mixer effects
Your tracks would be quantised on the cdj's but the effects on the mixer will not be quantized as it would be on the djm 900.
